Not a chance we should go near Ranger. I don't care how talented he is, he's a nasty piece of work that keeps reoffending and keeps throwing the good will of others back in their face.

 

As much as I hated what Hughes did, at least he was remorseful and tried to make amends.

As talented as Ranger might be at that level, any club willing to employ him would be crazy. There is no footballer on earth who has been given more chances to succeed than this guy. Complete and utter waste of space/time/money/oxygen. He's a lost cause and quite possibly the thickest lad you'd likely to meet.

Where've you heard that youth? I think even by Micky's standards Ranger is a bit leftfield but if he signs then he's one of us and I'll back him- presumably until he gets caught stapling a cat to his neighbours head or something equally unlikely!

Ranger cleared of rape in March, cleared of being drunk in charge of a vehicle in May and also found guilty of causing criminal damage in May. Just a few of his recent escapades!

 

Could Micky reform this "angel" and get the best out of him? Could he disrupt our so called tight knit dressing room? Is it worth a punt on him? Only Adams can answer that for us, but I'm sure Valiants would back him in a Vale shirt even if they were unhappy with his attitudes off the pitch.

From a football point of view only, (ignoring my gut feeling about ranger), I would be extremely impressed with the signing of either. MA seems to back himself to work with reforming characters ie hughes, Roberts, and popey to a small extent. The fact is that without rangers misdemeanours, he would be well and truly out of our league. If it it was a straight choice between Paterson and ranger, then that would be a difficult decision, but MA is certainly going about putting some attacking threat back into the team well!

Nile Ranger was mentioned in a thread a few weeks ago. At the time took it with a pinch of Salt. But who knows. Certainly be a controversial one, especially after I recently called him a scum bag and they should throw away the game.

No chance this is true, only yesterday Micky explained the importance of signing the right players, signing Nile ranger would complete go against that. Reda Johnson would be a great signing but it isn't true.
