Lines basically said in the sentinel that he would stay if Adams does, then again I think most will stay if Adams stays just needs to let go a few which have been with us for to long now and just arnt good enough for league 1 eg Yates,Dodds,Griff,Shuker and Taylor plus players such as Tomlin,Mohammed and Chilvers

I would be tempted to keep adams... let him write his own 1 year contract... with the condition that he controlled the budget, his salary came out of the budget and there would be no more money available at any time during the season... signing, salaries, agents fees, loan signings etc etc etc would all come from his budget and when its gone... its gone.

If Knott stays, I would not lose too much sleep over Lines going with his disciplinary record. Most of our squad I could take or leave going, with the probable exceptions of Neal (though Johnson has done well) and Pope.

How do options work? Is it just Vale who have the option to extend their contracts, which the players have to accept?

Its usually this time of the year where the Louis Dodds die hard brigade come out in force.

Blar blar blar ect. we hear it every year and season after season when truthfully he just simply isnt good enough. He has had 6 years at the club to become a regular starter and each and every season he fails to do that.
