Feature we need a CEO apparently

Recommended Posts

n a nutshell, this is not a call for a CEO – I’ve already heard the response from Norman Smurthwaite on that matter. Anyhow, the level of correspondence we are talking about is not something that a CEO needs to concern themselves with – we’re talking fans’ feedback, requests, questions and so on. This is the sort of thing that can be handled at a more junior level.

Not a call for a CEO rob was the quote. And your quote. Five months later we need a CEO. My point is we needed one from the day wildes left as I think I said.

Do you not read what I posted? I said I hadn't called for a CEO before but I said my opinion was pretty much the same - that is that there is a need for some key staff appointments. In Sept I mentioned some staff but not a CEO, now I think a CEO is also required. My opinion hasn't changed and neither has that of many other people who also felt that the club was lacking in key, experienced staff.

I can't quite understand why you are trying to claim you were the only one to call for this when it is clear that others have been saying the same thing?

Parties worth 2k a week?! Dreamland! I paid £70 for a party for 10 kids at the Fun Factory in Fenton. 2 hour party. 3 parties a day, that's £210 assuming all 3 have 10 kids. That's well short of 2k a week and that's if the parties are fully booked which they will never be because of school and work.

Most people will go for a cheap village hall and get some extras in themselves, and not pay the absurd fees you are proposing. £300 could get you multiple tickets to Alton Towers and see Postman Pat, Mike the Knight or the Zingzillas.

As for weddings, there is only one advantage Vale Park has over other venues and that's cost. It will never have the romantic pull of somewhere like Crewe Hall or somewhere like that, so it needs to market itself at the lower end. As you could get a wedding at Crewe Hall for under 10k, no-one would pay the same to use Vale Park.

No-one takes you seriously wereskintandweknowweare because you seem to be living in your own fantasy bubble with delusions of grandeur and no grasp of reality. You get discredited every time you post numbers yet still think we should take you seriously because you boast of running a billion pound business!

If you are as good as you say you are, march to Vale Park this morning and demand to help.

Absolutely agree. You can get a annual family season ticket for places like Alton Towers for £400 so the figure of "2k aweek" for a few parties is just nonsense.

Is weareskint for real?

:doh: :woot::banghead: :wacko: :moreconfusion: :

I've run out of expressions for him.

I'm seriously thinking of volunteering him for a stay in a funny farm.

By jove you've cracked it..Vale should open up it's facilities as a funny farm!! The club would make millions per week what with all the loonies in SoT and could also charge for tea, coffee, lunch, toilets etc..it's a real money spinner

I'm putting a business case together right now for NS...average 5000 residents at £25 per day 7 days a week..plus all the add ons..can't go wrong

I'm quite interested to follow how Ryan McKnight does at Stockport.

He was the expert Radio Stoke brought in during the final stages of V2001 and offered his insight into what the old board should have done. He has had one year as Stockport CEO to practice what he preaches.

I don't see Stockport ripping up any trees in the Conference North (currently 12th - 15 points off the play-offs), although maybe it takes a bit more time than one year to turn things round there.

As Twitters points out, "****ing idiot" is the politest way I have heard him described by County fans up here. That said, County fans make Vale fans look patient in general.

Pity Wereskint doesn't put his phone number on his web page.

Then we could do something like the Brighton fans did with that kn0b who posted homophobic comments on their message board - they ended up ordering him a male escort.

We could always get Wereskint an audition for Dragons Den.

Good find. Maybe he is now discovering how much easier it is to just advise about mistakes. Now he's in the firing line and things appear to not be working out as planned.

This is the thing about a CEO, it has to be the right appointment. One that's got experience and a record of turning round football clubs, not just businesses. I wonder how many of people with those qualities actually exist.
