Seriously what is it with vale fans, i for one am quite happy to let him crack on. Were doing well in the league, winnable third round draw and off the pitch the club has shot forward 100 years compared to those numpties in charge before.

 

Why cant we just be happy for a change?

 

No wonder theres rumours he wants to leave, i would if "fans" kept pestering me every 5 minutes, some people need to realise he owns the club now, not the fans.

I also can't understand why any port vale fan would any negativity in regards to the club at all , perhaps we have moved forward so fast that some people can't keep up !!

You could equally say - Smurf doesn't have to meet the fans and has clearly agreed to do so. Perhaps he doesn't see it as "pestering" but as a way of effectively meeting his (for want of a better word) "customers" and an opportunity to answer questions and perhaps clear up any doubts. I very much doubt he'd be agreeing to do it if he thinks it would be a bad thing to do.

 

Yes he owns the club but as Steve Bradbury said during the V2001 protests - "without fans, a football club is nothing"... and the odd meeting every couple of months is hardly that onerous is it?

I just guessed you would start this thread and what you would write...

I dont read all posts in all threads, there isnt enough time in the day and I doubt Rob would be willing to pay me £40 an hour.

Ive read opinions that state people think he wants out but that isnt rumour.

Those of us with even half a brain can surely now decipher what is truth and what is malicious rumour? That said, do we honestly care about the tripe that some spout off about??

 

What really matters as far as I am concerned is that my beloved Club continue it's fantastic re building in many, many ways and in the non too distant future even those sceptics may have to eat humble pie and admit that Vale are here to stay and are gaining respect throughout the Football world for rising from near obscurity to a very respectable force to reckon with. UTV.
