SC Meeting Thu 7.30pm

Santa

Recommended Posts

Because the initial idea was that the SC be a conduit between the supporters and smurf.... if he is there every meeting there isnt any need for the SC... If he steps back and lets the SC do what he suggested then its one less job for him to do, more time to do the things he needs to do... once every six months would be enough for an appearance at a SC meeting... social events are a different matter... he has to learn how to use the things that are available to his advantage... thats not meant as a slight to the SC or smurf

Top shout, he definitely needs to step back from direct contact with small sections of the fan group (whatever channels, not a dig at SC meetings in the slightest) which includes Twitter etc and use the website for communication to all of the fan base.

When statements and communication comes it should come from designated people intended for all of the fan base.

About 30 fans present.

Genuine rumblings of concern voiced about NS's comments on RS.

Ally has only ever had one face to face meeting with NS but plenty of phone meetings.

Ally doesn't think that NS is leaving any time soon.

Little progress been made about racial problems post Bradford but meetings taken place between Joan W and other agencies.

Ally seemingly has concerns at the moment about the club and a point made by a fan was that we elected her to voice our comments AND also to speak on our behalf and in my view we should all have total confidence in what she's doing.

NS is to be invited to next meeting on 5th Dec.

Regarding the ex players. They have a donation on about a thousand pounds which came from the funeral collection taken at John Richies funeral. It was one of Johns wishes that any money collected should go to disabled facilities at the club. Unfortunately they have not been able to arrange a meeting with Smurf as he never answers e-mails or the phone. The man is clearly out of his depth but I don't think we will have to wait too long to find out who will be the new owners. Whether they are any better is a matter of conjecture.

Why on earth is the Bradford issue and Wolves game still on the supporters club agenda? Shouldn't the supporters club be looking to the future? This organisation seems to be simply full of doom and gloom merchants who seem intent on bringing the club down in anyway possible. I imagine these meetings resemble that of a funeral wake rather than a vibarant fresh supporters club of a team who are progressing on the pitch following the ecstacy of promotion.

Where are the fresh ideas that we were promised when Ally was appointed? I'm looking forward to reading the meeting minutes on the official supporters club website in order to determine whether any use has come from last nights supporters event.

Any further information on the name plaques?

Is the SC back up to speed? Updates/emails/data base etc.

Are the SC planning any social events? meet the ....?/ an evening with ....?/ a marky mark comedy night [sorry]

Does the SC think its a good idea to charge [nominal amount] for membership?

Is the relationship between smurf and the SC going as planned?

I hate to say it but Geosname was on the right track in terms of the questions he wanted answering/discussing.

How is revenue generated by the supporters club in order to fund events/initiative, or is this "supporters club" infact an irritating supporters forum that values its own self importance more than offering a genuine service to its membership?
