Great news..teething problems are inevitable but it's a major step forward

Away fans in home areas hasn't been a major issue for years and I don't get why it is now..if anything it will be harder now for away fans to get into home areas

If you're an away fan in the home end just be sensible and if you're a home fan and find away fans in the home end then set an example and be sensible about it

It's only a problem if people make it a problem

I was asking about away fans because I dont know if there are any rules [FA] or directives [Police] about segregating opposing fans... from my experience the opposing fans who sat in the stand were usually polite, considerate and talked sensibly about the game.... we always tended to agree about refs too.... strange that

There probably are rules and/or directives but only so much the club can do. On the day I've seen fans in the 'wrong end' (oooer) moved to the right end when they 'made themslevs known' ;)

I remember having to be in the away end at Highbury during cup match in the 90s. Got a few funny looks but nothing more.

When I rang up the Ar$e to get a ticket (I was told Vale was sold out) he asked if I was an Ar$e fan and being an honest chap I said no. He told me that he could not sell me a ticket but ring back and try again

I did

Spoke to same chap

I said I was an Ar$e fan (shameful I know)

Got a ticket

Fantastic match

It is only a topic with local games, like Vale at Crewe, checking addresses, accents and similar stories. If you sit with the opposition, remember to keep quiet, otherwise the chance of ejection, usually not a problem. But sometimes people cannot contain themselves, as with Stoke supporters in Bycars, who got moved.

My point was that I'm a vale fan and I bought for the vale stand. However I could have been an away supporter for all the knew. I just can't see the problem with being able to do the same online.

I cant see that the problem, if it is a problem except in rare occasions as in the past at other clubs, is any different by being able to buy on line. Online sales could be limited to single tickets to prevent bulk purchases by persons out to make trouble, etc. but as I said very rare. Should there ever be a massive demand for tickets, the Bycars could be segregated with police permission, I wont worry about that for a while.
