"Pompey will have nearly 10,500 season-ticket holders when they kick-off in League Two, at home to Oxford United on Saturday. Sales of replica shirts and sponsorship packages have soared. Fans paid up to £100 to watch a "pay what you want" pre-season friendly against Charlton."

After all they have been through thats a truly magnificent effort from a sensational group of fans.

 

Lets hope this is the start of a bright new era for them.

And the tickets were priced at normal levels - not the giveaway prices that Bradford used to get big numbers. Adult ones were £300-£340 if bought before July. They must have made well over £2 million in sales!

I reckon they would give that Cup Final back not to have gone through this, Redknapp, Storrie and all those crooked owners have a lot to answer for.

For a team with the fanbase and stature of both Pompey and Plymouth, both are a good two divisions below where they should be.

 

Hope Pompey get promoted sooner rather than later as it would be my most local game on the South Coast from where I live.
