Coventry away (at Northampton) moved.

I don't care where we are in the league, or how important this one match appears to be I won't be going. I think it is important for away fans to join in the revolt by Coventry supporters by not attending at Sixfields.

How would you feel if Vale decided to play their home games in Wigan for 3 years? Christ we had fans protesting and boycotting because the old lot wouldn't sell the club to honest Mo. I think peoples heads would literally be displayed on the spikes of the Vale Park gates if this was ever tried with us.

Against Modern Football. Sometimes supporter rivalries need to be forgotten for the greater good of the game (unless this happened to Stoke of course in which case I'd laugh my socks off and have a party).

Utter nonsense.

I support Port Vale, therefore, I shall be there supporting Port Vale, regardless of Coventry's situation.

I guess as an away fan it's a case of the lesser of two evils..if you go then you're NOT protesting about what's happening but you will be supporting the Vale on the road. if you don't then you are protesting but Vale lose out on your support for that match

I I go (and it's unlikely) I'd in some way protest against what's happening to Cov (maybe join in a home fan protest) AND support the Vale as well

Up to each to do what they feel happiest with

This is not about Vale, this is about football. The longer we feed these corrupt bàstards who are ruinning football the worse it will get. If Someone bought Vale and moved us to Wigan, while ignoring the perfectly good ground we have, would you just go along with it or fight and want other fans to help? Things need to be done in this country to stop football becoming something of the past.

And to Jean... Starving the owners seemed to work pretty well here didn't it?

I don't know enough about the Coventry situation but do they want to get rid of their owners or do they want the Ricoh Stadium owners to come to some agreement???

Count me in too. Sorry for Coventry but I support Vale. Don't recall too many of their fans sympathising with us when we were going through hell.

Going through hell? How exactly did we go through hell compared to this? A meaningless 10 point deduction then a promotion season based on a lie? No wonder we don't get sympathy off other supporters.

I'm not watching a club called Coventry playing in Northampton. This isn't the next suburb away, it's a 90 mile round trip when there is a perfectly good stadium available in the clubs town. The new owners have little intention of keeping the current Coventry City in Coventry after the 3 year exodus. The only sensible route I can see is to start up a phoenix club. This is bad for football and I refuse to put cash in the pockets of an organisation who've moved a club with tens of thousands of fans away from their town.

People exclaim 'stand against modern football'.

These people will continually attend 'modern' matches and watch 'modern' games on 'modern' channels by 'companies who are ruining the game'.

If the game is being ruined, then surely you are not enjoying it, so why go?

I've bought a season ticket which works out at 13 quid a game. That's a fair price for this level in my opinion. I wouldn't pay 22 quid to get in.

Live within your means. If a price that's is fair for your fans means you have to play at a lower level then so be it. Don't price your fans out for a couple of seasons of success.

A lot don't go, not through choice but through ridiculous away ticketing ballots geared towards corporate "friends of the club", stupid kick off times set by the TV companies (speak to Newcastle U home and awayers about travel options until Christmas) and many other factors. Some go because as a supporter of YOUR team you are not a consumer who can chop and change, you have no choice in the matter.

We are lucky to support a less successful club in English football. I'd hate to be punished financially just because my team progressed through the leagues. I do vote with my feet. I won't be going to Northampton so on that occasion I "won't be going". I don't have Sky TV anymore because I don't want to feed that cancer that is destroying football in this country. I am not a hypocrite when it comes to my Against Modern Football stance, although I do take your point about those who moan, yet jizz over the prospect of watching Super Sunday and pay £60 a month for the privilege.
