Bemused by the whole scenario. I won't trust or have faith in anyone until I see results now. Just a bunch of mixed signals - promotion - happy ship pulling together - then its cracks have been there since practically the beginning - happy, emotional, proud manager - now miserable, drained b*s***d - healthy, competive budget - 6th lowest in league 1 - smurfs a lifelong Leicester fan - smurfs a lifelong Sunderland fan.

I can never understand why people need incentives to watch Port Vale.

 

For me, if youre living local, you can either afford to support the club you love or you cannot.

 

All this utter crap of hearing Mickys press conference, or Paul Wildes stepping down, or budget not being as good as expected, as a direct result of using them excuses as to not turning up next season or not buying a ST is absolutely pathetic.

 

For christs sake if you use those as an excuse then you need to seriously question your own loyalty as a PVFC supporter.

I really don't understand Micky Adams. We have an owner who went against his business partner to keep him, who has spent almost £2m on the club and backed him in the transfer market, and who wants to offer him a new contract, and Micky is unhappy. Truly bizarre. If I was in his position, I would be ecstatic to have a wealthy boss who backs him publicly and on the pitch.

 

The press conference today was completely unnecessary and Mickys comments uncalled for, and puts a downer on the positivity I thought last nights forum would generate. To deny Wildes wanted to sack him is tantamount to calling Smurf a liar. Yet, he never did this to Bratt et al in the press, in fact he was still praising them the day we secured promotion. Truly strange behaviour that the only negative comments coming out of the club are from the manager.

 

I thought we were passed all this, I really did. A new owner who is willing to back the club to the Championship, promotion, it should be happy days. I'm happy, why isn't Micky? I honestly don't understand why he felt the need to say what he's said today.

That's what I gathered from the forum last night. Smurf was incredibly supportive of Micky, incredibly, and his comments today about being "unhappy" are a literal smack in the face in my opinion.
