One newspaper report(cant remember which one) said they have turned down £75,000 for him,so i cant see us getting involved in that.

I don't think a fee has been agreed no? He was out of contract i believe, having signed a two year contract with Hereford in 2011 from the Glenn Hoddle Academy. So i assume it'll go to tribunal?

 

 

Southend turned down a £100k bid from Fleetwood for Cresswell, as they weren't happy with the up front amount that was being offered. Also Chesterfield are very keen, but are a bit skint. I believe they're trying to reduce their £6million debt by more than half over the next year or two, so can't see them signing him personally?

Excellent signing by Shrewsbury, was hoping we'd be after/attracting players of his ability perhaps we are but I think he would have been the perfect signing for us.

 

Ryan Lowe signed 2 year contract at Tranmere also today, imagine Micky would have looked at him.

Grew was on Radio Stoke today saying that we need to sign 3-4 players, which I found disappointing if taken literally, as I reckon we need 5-6. (reasoning - we released 4, plus Vincent and Morsy leaving, add on Burge's departure and that makes 7 fewer than last season...8 if Loft doesn't re-sign, with only Mohamed incoming so far. Do those signed for the development squad count?! I suppose you could include the 3 from last season's youth team that have signed pro deals.)

 

Whatever, I expect multiple new signings to be announced over the 7-10 days, with Adams supposedly returning from holiday on Monday, pre-season training kicking in next Thursday, and existing player contracts expiring on 30th June.

 

As for rumours, I think I might have spotted a new signing on Thursday leaving with Pope after doing some pre-pre-season fitness work - see the Micky's Back thread.

I personally think that we will sign 5 or 6 but I doubt anymore than that as hopefully we will be paying for a bit more quality.

We need 2 centre halves, at least 2-3 centre mids and a striker. I'd be worried if we only brought in three.

I might put a cheeky bet on for them to win that league. They have some good players in O'Shea, Roberts, Jimmy Ryan, Marc Richards, and Doyle. They might even be signing Ryan Cresswell which would be another great addition. They're all players I'd love at the Vale in L1 to be fair
