Rotherham fans ripped off by Landlord

Rotherham fans who've paid for an airplane flight for this Saturdays game against Plymouth Argyle, have seemingly been ripped of by their local landlord who was organising the travel for the game

 

There's a couple of threads on their message board regarding this. Apparently 70 fans (maybe more) paid their local pub landlord up to £240 for each ticket without any of them getting any kind of reciept. They were promised a meal, coach travel, flight & match tickets but apparently the landlord has done a runner & the pub is now shut. Punch Taverns have been on their board to confirm that the landlord has left this morning.

 

The Landlord Lee Mills (no, not that one :D) has been on the Millersmad website to explain himself & said that he has gambled their money on a new business venture (a new pub) but it's gone t!ts up. Therefore no flight, no match.

 

To say the Millers fans aren't happy is an understatement.

After talking to Rotherham fans on boxing day and their arrogance towards me, this makes me chuckle.

flippin heck... theres no way i would give anybody that kind of money if i was promised a flight id have booked it myself, shame for the fans who paid but will the police follow it up? possibly not which means them people who paid are out of pocket...

I do that almost every year in the Bulls Head although I do only give them three quid at a time!
