Does anybody know how ticket sales are going? My wife got 5 yesterday and she says the ticket office was reasonably busy.

I went at 9am yesterday and it was busy. I'm hoping for a tweet saying Lorne street nearly sold out then one saying sold out...

Wonder if I should start a rumour on Facebook? :ninja:

A very good offer for those who intend to purchase a season ticket for next season, but of no incentive for those who for various reasons will not be getting a season ticket.

Gate 9,000+ ?

If I wasn't a season ticket holder, but a floating fan, I'd be there anyway saturday.

To see the team get promoted is surely the big draw.

And there might be a bit of temptation to get an ST after that?

If (as we are continually reminded) football is a business, then one of our "products" is the matches.

A match of almost unparalleled importance in many, many years has to be one of our most valuable & saleable "products".

So why would anyone cut its' price? You could even argue a case for putting the ticket prices up!

Incidentally, the cheapest ticket at the Emirates tonight is £35, with many at £50 and much more.

For that, you would be watching a bunch of mercenaries poncing around in front of an all-seated, near-silent crowd.

Contrast that with local heroes Pope, Yates and Birchall who clearly feel what we feel.

Doesn't make £20 sound too bad really.

it's a good offer for those renewing there season ticket but for fans who don't get one it's a kick in the groin tbh.

Four of our last eight home games have been discounted. I very much suspect none of the other 92 clubs have done that for their fans.

CANNOT believe this thread!!!! I have waited 18yrs for this day and tbh was astonished that any offer would be given at all...and the fact the owners have even considered giving back to the fans (at lets be honest a very lucrative period) is a great reflection on the way the club is being ran....and VERY few league club owners would be doing this (i.e. Gillingham for example)

All the people bemoaning the costs and how 'friends of friends' now wont go and they are disillusioned and let down with this poor offer are simply 1. not living in the real world and 2. IMHO not the people we want/deserve to be in there anyway-they would only be the type who stand groaning/moaning and getting on the lads back if we dont saunter to a 3-0 lead inside 10mins winging at the players/managment muting the atmosphere or even worse creating a negative one around teh ground -tbh we will still pull around 10k of passionate and real fans who will generate one hell of an atmoshpere and experience a day (hopefully) none of us will ever forget and will be describing to these 'friends of friends' who didnt go for the rest of our lives......am i going to be gutted with loosing 3-4k day trippers who dont think the biggest game (im my living history) is worth £20 NO...

As much as i would LOVE to sell vale out and have the prestige of biggest attendance in league 2 i would not want to do it at the financial detriment of the club by giving tickets away at daft/uncompetitive prices to people lets be honest would have NO intention of ever coming in the future until the next big cup game/give away match tickets prices or equivelant...vale is a buisiness not a charity
