I've not read all 27 pages of this thread so appologies if this has already been said.

Under football league rules the club can only offer 4 cut price ticket deals per season without offering the same deal to away fans,

so this offer is the only way round this ruling. As for those saying the owners will add the £20 on to the cost of a st, agreed the last lot would have pulled a stunt like that, but we have got to cut pw and smurf some slack here and trust them.

Finally, this is not intended as a dig, but i notice captain scarlett saying he cant afford it now, but he's running a coach to Wycombe, if finances are that tight would he not be better giving the £20 to vale instead of Wycombe?

Ok, few points I'd like to make regarding this offer:

* The idea of packing the park with this offer will not occur as, with a lot of people already having said, £20 is too much for the random floating supporters to part with for League 2 football. As a result of this I would not expect the game to be as busy as the Burton match a couple of weeks ago which is a shame as the atmosphere was immense.

* People moaning that it isn't an offer at all as you don't know the price of the new season tickets as yet. You are correct . . . in the respect that you don't know the price of them as yet. However with your stub from the game you get £20 off whatever it will be sold at. So if you go and save your stub you have to pay £20 less than someone who doesn't. Call me stupid but isn't that an offer? You are getting something for less than someone else? The £20 that you are paying for the Northampton game is instead being discounted from your season ticket for you.

* Recently there have been several offers on home games for fans but now some people seem to be expecting them constantly. If you only want to attend when it is cheap then do so, but maybe consider calling yourself a real fan ESPECIALLY for what is the final and extremely crucial home game for your club. Surely you all want to send the lads off with a cheer? A club can not constantly run offers, not unless you want to run the risk of them experiencing some money issues later on. I don't think anyone here would like to see Vale go into administration again.

* Finally and most importantly, all the best for the last game of the season. I've got everything crossed that Vale get promotion as considering their performances this seasons they do deserve it and I would hate to see them miss out if they fall into the lottery that is a play off final. I'd love it if one day you were in the same leauge as us ;)

As mentioned elsewhere I am sure that we have already had our allocation of 4 Home games with offers. We have already distibuted tickets to Northampton and for all we know sales may well be going great, so that rules out having an offer and spreading it to away fans as well.

We cannot therefore have any further offers direct on the entrance price. Personally I would rather there be 8,000 fans there that want to go to see a promotion winning side without having to sell the goods off cheaply to fans that will turn up for one game and glory hunt. Why would any right minded person not want to be there. Why does it have to be cheap? Pay the full price for what is going to be an amazing day and enjoy it, these days don't come very often!

To be fair there is only one bloke who has chosen to go and see Iron Man 3 instead...

Any Vale fan will pay £20, just a shame we're probably going to have avoidable empty seats. I'd prefer to have 13-15k glory hunters tbh.

I hope to be surprised by the gate on Saturday as I'm sure there would be an element of disappointment to the players.

Hope we get those clapbanners back.

Whats made you change your minds thought you weren't setting foot in the ground until a certain player leaves?

Think you're getting me confused with the other half. He said that not me.

Of all the posts on this thread you reply to that one. Get a life.
