I met up with bill bratt a few years a go to speak to him about the family stand. He confirmed that the plan was to move the family stand to the Loren st, then the shop would move the the shuttered building on the Hamilton. No money so it never happened. I believe the building on Hamilton rd is already kitted out for a club shop. Maybe the new guys will have this mind, bringing a a much improved family area into the club

Where's Loren St and Hamilton Rd. lol.

I can't agree on that. I have always done good business with Andy for the past 20 years or so with good service. I started to subscribe on matchday programs in 1988/89 and I have to say there were some problems then. I think the Club Shop was quite small in the 80's and they were really not used to overseas customers or people wanting program subscriptions. I remember that when I began subscribing on programs it was The Supporters Club who were managing the subscription !!! They hadn't sorted out who did what at Port Vale. Good service by Andy. And I have to say that English clubs are more customer friendly then in Scandinavia.

Jim (I assume it is Cooperpvfc?) there is a good reason to finish the Lorne Street as it would create a thousand or so seats that have decent facilities that we should expect in this day and age.

The club may well have 18,000 capacity but how many of those are in areas where home fans can use and have facilities matching the last century never mind this one?

I just think on a list of priorities finishing a stand which isn't needed is unnecessary. Yes, finish it if we're looking strong in the league above next season (touch wood), but for now, lets concentrate on immediate things (as said above re: current facilities).

Having nice facilities in one area of the ground doesn't make up for the rest being poor. Additionally, what's the point in having more seats, more empty seats? - I would love there to be standing seats available, unfortunately it isn't going to happen.

Ps, my name isn't Jim.

No point in finishing the Lorn St stand whatsoever.

Finish it and close the Railway Paddock. Why anyone would want to go there is beyond me. Murky, no facilities (so no extra matchday revenue) poor view. Plus the Hamil is much better than the bycars, which has been dead as a dodo atmosphere wise for years. I know that there are police issues and so on but for me the best use of VP would be - complete the Lorne St, shut down the railway paddock, move home fans to the Hamil and put away fans in the Bycars.

Absolutely, I know any change will upset some. Let season ticket holders move to the new Lorne Street (with better facilties) at no extra cost, and with the odd bit of sunshine. The problem is, doing anything will upset some. The only way to not upset anyone is doing nothing. It's a bit like HS2. If the preferred option is doing nothing - fine.
