Crazy to let McDonald go

Int it funny how so many people can watch a football match and call professional players all the names under the sun while they themselves are so **** at football they are sitting on their ***** watching it rather than playing it.

Vale had the chance to show the country how good they are, but, while the crowd was not big at Wimbledon for the first half they froze in front of the armchair fans across the country. Camera shy - they cant do it when in front of the cameras, or in front of a large home crowd. They woke up towards the end.

Bradford could restrict Villa to 1 goal - we couldn't against Wimbledon.

We don't need better defenders - we need men with some balls and who don't have a fear of the limelight.

What is the point of getting promotion if they are going to freeze in front of bigger exposure next season ?

I believe that McDonald is better than Chilvers but even if not its a strange decision as we only have Davis left as cover and if his performance against Burnley is anything to go by then we would desperately need McDonald back.

And we beat the league leaders in the previous game. Get a grip! So that's 4 points from two games with the new players. I'm presuming you believe we never lost a game before we brought in the new players.never heard so much nonsense!

Well, for a team with a load of slow hoofing tripe across the back, we've done pretty well this season wouldn't we agree? I would imagine Micky knows the problem better than anyone - we need the McCombes and McDonalds of this world when we come up against the lunking six foot plus centre forwards who are themselves pretty slow, and the quicker defenders when we come up against the speed merchants like McCallum last night. Each team brings it's own threats, and Micky responds to that as he sees fit, injuries and suspensions permitting. Chilvers didn't play well last night, but hindsight is wonderful - would Davis or McDonald been any better? We'll never know now - but it will be interesting to see if the same defence lines up against Wimbledon in the return shortly. We've seen Clayton woefully exposed by pacey strikers this season, and Davis's inexperience likewise cause us problems at times. Davis's time will come I hope - giving him a few games in a team that has already been promoted (fingers crossed) at the end of this season will help him. But we have to sort it out if we do go up - League 1 strikers would have had the game over by half time last night if we played like that next season. I thinking putting Clayton out on loan is wise, and suspect he will go at the end of the season - we need a 27 year old Purse equivalent with a bit of pace to help the back four next season - and that will mean spending a bit of money unless we drop on an absolute steal at the end of a contract.

im guessing that adams likes defenders who can head the ball in their own 18 yard box, id imagine this is why mcdonald is no longer at the club

Whilst i agree that Chilvers is hardly speedy gonzalez, lets not make out as though Clayt was any better.....or even any faster.

 

Clayton makes Chilvers look like a greyhound!

I see that just having him on the bench today has turned Brizzle's season around and helped us to boot.
