Proper strange their forum is. A bit like Crewe's but with more delusion.

Just like Rotherham, it would be nice to ease to victory on Saturday and bring them down a peg or 27

Godspeed to the travelling Vale fans who have to go in that ****tip stand.

Spot on Doha.A few will give it a miss on Saturday as it is a terrible ground for away fans.Compared to the facilities at Hamil Road-no contest:yes:

Alright Gills fans are.

The thing I like about Gillingham is that you think it's going to be dead posh what with it being in Kent, but when you get there, it's just like a northern town that's been moved brick by brick down south.

Even though it's dead grim, run down and smells a bit, I like it down there. There's sort of a backward charm.

No excuses if I can get myself down there and support everyone (aside from Hughes) then all of you who are so excited should be making the journey.

Gillingham reminds me a lot of Burslem, a tad in the doldrums but most of the people are salt of the earth.

Hi Valiants, Gills fan in peace! Signed up yesterday to give my thoughts in the matchday thread, but this one has popped up in the meantime.

I think you have to take the online presence of any group of fans with a pinch of salt, I know there has been some truly embarrassing twitter to and fro recently. But obviously we are a threat to each other, and I think any right minded fans are excited and a little scared for Saturday, which spills out as animosity for the braindead few. I'm sure you'll find the majority of us welcoming. Gills fans tend to be hyper critical of some of our own players, so you should just let us get on with it, only you can benefit.

As has been quite rightly pointed out, we're both better on the road and Gills have been woeful at home for a good couple of months. It's quite telling that almost every team we play are astonished that we've been top of the league all season.

As for Gillingham as a town... yes, it's not exactly the jewel in Medway/Kent's crown. I'm a Rochester native and I have the indignity of currently residing in Gillingham, although in one of those ugly new house that Morrissey sung about

As for pubs, pop into the Livingstone arms, which is an away friendly pub and almost a stones throw away from the ground. You'll find a fair few Gills in there willing to engage in some friendly conversation.
