Sam Morsy

You do talk some **** at times, if he didn't rate him he simply wouldn't be playing. He's now let himself and the club down and a spell on the sidelines will hopefully make him realise its time to put this type of stupidity out of his game or at least limit it.

Micky picks the team so to suggest he doesn't rate him is total drivel.

So if Sam did not play as the holding midfield player who would have this season? Lets see how many more starts he makes once the takeover is complete

It was a bad tackle, Adams was justified in blasting him publicly as it appears he hasn`t learned from when he has got booked earler in the season. At least he has had the balls to publicly apologize and hopefully we will see him resume in the team and continue developing into a fine midfielder.

What Sam has to realise is that even if he won the ball cleanly in that position it wouldn't have done us much good.

If he's still got his toe to the ball, chances are it would have just gone to the next yellow shirt and they start again and exploit the gap left by him going on the floor.

He has to pick his battles more carefully if he wants to become a better player, not just because of the sendings off, but because going to ground puts him out of the game and good players will get their foot in first, or if he does get the ball they will anticipate the loose ball and just pass round him.

There's an expectancy around midfielders to make proper old fashioned challenges, whilst pulling out of a challenge is equated with being scared or lacking commitment. It's always been like that but now this mentality will have to change. We are living in very unprecedented times.

The laws of the game have become misinterpreted and deformed through meddling by administrators and a Platini-esque desire to make football a non contact sport. Even with the most innocuous tackle these days, if someone gets injured, a referee will panic because he thinks he's missed something and get the red out.

This won't change - it's only going to get worse in years to come. Players and coaches will therefore have to take apart very fundamental aspects of the game and start again from scratch.

Think he was just frustrated that the Rochdale players were behaving like scum, trying to take our lads down everywhere. Morsy went in on their ginger lad and unfortunately it has cost us. I dont blame Sam, I blame the referee. Could of controlled the game better and gave us a few more freekicks.

I don't see what all the fuss is about he made a bad tackle and got sent off, he's young and still learning, move on....

My thoughts exactly. Rico's was worse when he punched someone in the box near the away end a few years ago and less fuss was kicked up.
