We weren't in administration then and were allowed to bring in loan players to cover any squad shortages. Having 15 players including two goalkeepers available for a match is not ideal.

 

He made a bad tackle everyone does known again, he didnt do it on purpose either..... Timing has nothing to do with anything he mistimed one tackle and is getting slated for it! Vincent is suspended as well this weekend yet nobody notices that...

Exactly and 3 of Vincents 5 are silly, dissent, handball and something else that wasn't a foul.

I think, he now, not only has to wait for another opportunity but turn round a reputation he's "built" with refs and opposition players. In that respect, the public statement by Adams and Sam's apology are a start but in those two respects it isn't going to be as simple as just move on.

Griff turned it round a couple of seasons ago, somehow, he didn't come over as having that nasty as opposed to competitive edge though.

Hope Sam can do it, there's definitely a mark in the sand for him now and he's going to have to change his ways.

BTW, I think he's been ok in parts this season but not brilliant enough to big up that much - he's got a lot to do and improve on in his general play as well as discipline, a bit of humility won't go amiss.

A one match ban is not as serious as 3 though. He will be available again for Tuesday and I think he is more likely than Sam to get back in the team.

 

I don't get your point? Morsy didn't he sent off on purpose he made a rash tackle as McCombe did the other week and as every player will do at sometime on their career.

I agree but try telling that to Adams. I see that he is considering changes for Saturdays match at Cheltenham. After three consecutive defeats,if Morsy doesn't at least make the bench then his days are definitely numbered.

Its a bit of a joke to sideline Morsy for getting sent off, yeah it was not a great tackle but as the midfield was stretched at the time as we play wingers and most sides seem to crowd the midfield when we play them, it would seem that the tackle was out of desperation not mallice, so he should be be back in the squad to shore up the midfield. If he is not playing this week then its a joke

During his career Ryan Shawcross has made at least two particularly horrific tackles.One on Frances Jeffers that threatened to end his career and the other on Aaron Ramsey that resulted in a broken tib and fib. During his career, Paul Scholes has accumulated seven red cards and over 100 yellows. As far as I'm aware neither of them were publicly castigated by their manager in the way Morsy was.In comparison with many players, Morsy's behaviour pales into insignificance. Get a grip Adams. It's a physical game. Get on with it.
