FA Cup ;Next Round...it's Sheff Utd!

Personally I think it's a good draw for us, not too far away and our away form is pretty good. They will 'expect' to win comfortably and therefore there is no pressure on us at all.

A good 'vocal' away following, the Micky factor and the chance of a replay (possibly bringing in more cash than a home win against say Harrogate and a 3rd round game at Brighton away). It all adds upto what the FA Cup is all about in my opinion.

A short trip over the top, stopping off in Baslow for a quick pint and something to eat, can't see why people don't see the plusses myself.

Its hardly like we are going to win the FA cup anyway so who cares!! A chance for the players to test themselves against better opposition, nothing to lose.

A chance of a TV appearance with the Adams connection, the McDonald connection, and 2 teams going well in their divisions.

Clayton will get some stick from the blades fans as their player got sent down and ours got off

Really that's reasonable,is that from Stoke to Derby ,Derby to Sheffield and back ,sounds good that mind Sheffield got a right big firm ,is railway station close to Bramall lane ?

15 to 20 minute walk with the Blades fans uphill from the station OR a rip off tenner in a taxi (5 mins and they won't drop you in a crowd)

It's my brother's wedding at 2:30 on 1st December - hoped that Sheff. Wed were at home on that date so that Vale's match would be on the Sunday but just checked Wednesday's fixture list and they are away on the Sunday! Any-one got any good excuses for missing a family wedding?

Done it loads of times - haven't been a family wedding since 1968, don't usually get asked nowadays, am I bothered?

For those thinking 20000, think again. Youre way off.

In the first round last season they beat Oxford at home 3-0 in front of 7991.

In the second round they beat Torquay in front of 10105.

In the third round they beat Salisbury in front of 10488.

In the fourth round they lost to Brum in front of 18072.

All of these ties were at Bramall Lane.

I would guess around 2000 going from vale and around 8000 of their locals turning up.

Yes, but Utd are going better this season - they're looking at around 18,000 per home game at the moment. With a good Vale following I suspect its got to be 15,000+.
