The biggest tragedy of this season is that a lot of our team as individuals are hugely talented and the days of our released list vanishing off to the conference or worse won’t be the case this year.

I dunno mate - ask people some weeks and they'll say our players will struggle in L2 next season. I don't think it will be quite that bad, but with creativity and a goalscorer this side looks a lot different in terms of league position potential.

I apologise if someone has asked this before , but I've not been online for a while.  Can anyone tell me where is Andre Gray?  He is not in the team or on the bench.  Has he gone on tour with his wife?

Support act?

I'd give Connor Hall, Garrity and Croasdale a contract offer for league two.

I'd send the loans back and I'd listen to offers for every member of the contracted squad on a case by case basis. Nobody is irreplaceable, but also wouldn't be hanging them all out to dry.

You've got the basis of a good team in league two there with enough room in the budget to bring in a couple of hungry young players who we can develop.

That's more than enough for next season, it really isn't rocket science this football lark

Fairly sure you might actually see a lot of our players if they get released end up in at least league 1 or up against us in league 2. The biggest tragedy of this season is that a lot of our team as individuals are hugely talented and the days of our released list vanishing off to the conference or worse won’t be the case this year.

The tale of woe this year has been to disjointed poor team selections and letting to many high quality first team level players go. Both largely on Moore incompetence which Brady has started to turn around, although even he I would say has not brought the best out of what he has had.

I think that’s spot on. Building a squad this season has been well and truly messed up by the club / DM.

I think Darren Moore just built on the work started by my favourite manager. Seems Barnsley are going through a similar process at the moment...

That statement would also rule out Hernández signing

Not necessarily as Brady might still want a few older players who can provide experience and be positive role models to the younger players but at the same time he also wants younger players who he can improve and then potentially sell on for a high figure fee further down the line. Reading between the lines it sounds like he was referring more towards to the forward line for younger players as he wants them to have power, pace, athleticism and are hungry to run and work hard whereas currently at this moment in time we don't really have any of that up front.

I struggle to have any faith in our recruitment.

I don't think any of the players signed over the summer and winter windows have improved us at all.

Whatever happens in summer an absolute must is we add creativity to central midfield and some legs and pace (and goals) Our current options plod about with no real intent. Not to mention having a strike on goal From 20 yards.

then the current crop of forwards aren’t good enough for me. We need to sign two forwards who clearly know where the net is. Anything less and it’ll be a mediocre season and that’s when the crowds will drop. Let’s hope Carol will back Brady so he doesn’t have to keep the majority of this awful squad.

Cameo role.  A walk on walk off part, much like he's done with us.

This is completely tactical stuff behind why this happens, nothing to do with the individual players.

They do what they are supposed to do or they don't play, simple as that. If they do shoot from range if they are being told not to and create 'better' chances (all this stuff driven by data and that xG nonsense now), then they better score or again, they won't play.

I'll bite.

Seeing as there was almost a full season between the two managers and two full transfer windows, can you please advise how the state of the squad building by Darren Moore has anything to do with Clarke?

Too many players?

Not enough turnover?

Too much turnover?

I know your answer will be complete and utter nonsense, but I'm keen to hear it regardless.

Too much turnover. He only wants people who agree with him, which meant that any strong characters were persuaded to leave. Which costs money which could be better employed elsewhere. A good manager would utilise assets rather than waste them. Jake Taylor is a good example...

At this stage of the season I usually have a mental list of players I would like to keep and build on. I'm not sure there are enough this season to even call it a list.

I like the look of g hall through the middle but not as a wide player and c hall has been excellent for us I don't care what anyone says and John too although his constant injuries are a worry.

There are a some who I think can do a job for us in league 2 but most have either blown hot and cold, been injury prone or just been crap.

Would I be that bothered if they all left? not really. I don't envy JB sorting through this lot because there are some capable players there but their attitude and application just hasn't been good enough plus we have too many of the same type of player and few, if any, match winners.

When you say he was carrying on his work then are you saying that Darren Moore did the same? Or was trying to fix it by employing a record number of players and the most expensive squad ever assembled?
