FA Cup Sixth round

Featured Replies

Tickets aside, is anyone else approaching this game with fear and excitement in equal amounts,  after watching last night and the way we defended our six yard box. Chelsea might now play a very strong team with the cup the only trophy they have left to play for.  With all respect to Bristol City and Sunderland,  Chelsea on their own " carpet " pitch might be a totally different class. I 🙏 I'm wrong.  Utv . I'm trying not to be negative.

I don't want to write what I'm actually thinking and fearing!

But, as an example of how we can be, on our quagmire we let Bradford have 33 shots. At Stamford Bridge against a world class team....

No……we are deliberately defending like we did last night to give them a false sense of security that they will breeze through to the next round. You watch, Chelsea will play a team full of reserves while we defend like you’ve never seen before and catching them on the break countless times. I’ve already booked my hotel for Wembley and train tickets.

Really confident, Chelsea 1-2 Port Vale

They have next seasons Champions League to play for, April is a very tough month after the Vale.

How do you book the hospitality please.

Chelsea fc hospitality website.  Gives you a range of packages. The £75 package is in the Westview stand.

Yes, but I actually expected that for the Sunderland game an it didn’t happen. I think the pitch at Chelsea will allow better attacking football. Blackpool’s pitch last night looked fantastic and I fear that sort of easy passing will leave us vulnerable against Chelsea.

It's one of those, Chelsea aren't in great form but full of World Class talent, the chances of winning are virtually nil but lose 1-0 or 10-0 we will still rake in big money with the same ultimate outcome.

As with City at the Etihad I would be cuffed with just a "moment" like we had Pope's equaliser. If we lose 6 or 7 no one will bat an eyelid, zero pressure for us.

Yes the pitch against Sunderland was a big factor,  as I don't think they really fancied it. There rapid players got bogged down on it. Chelsea have pace to burn and no lack of skill up front.  This is where I think we will struggle.  I hope I'm wrong.🤞

Chelsea in woeful form at home 0-1 0-3 last 2  fans leaving after half a hr

Are we there next home game

6000 bouncing Valiants

Nothing lose .

Lets enjoy it

In a season of lows this draw has made everything else for me quite irrelevant .

Thats why the F.A cup is special

Im sure league 1 Wycombe reached a semi

Why not Vale

Buzzing for it

Its not only a welcome break from league 1 its great to see us getting worldwide publicity.

Our fans have just got do what they do when play big clubs especially away .

The noise should be deafening

What footballs all about for me

Love your optimistic posts they really lighten the tone on here. Thanks but whilst chelsea have been "woeful " the last 2 games they have been playing the current European champions in PSG and a very decent Newcastle side. Whilst we have been struggling against Bradford,  Huddersfield and a very poor Blackpool side. Just to put a little perspective on it. UTV

Not having a dig at all , please don't take it as one 😘

Lol tongue in cheek fella  good perspective ,in fairness Chelsea have some superb players and are capable of much better ,but then id say Port Vale are capable of much better .

Game is 2 weeks away odd and Byers be back Garrity should be at full pelt and Humpfries be back ,not saying they are world beaters but they are top players on there day .

Result is quite irrelevant in some respects but its not every day Vale in quarter finals ,,1954 long time ago in semis v West Brom .

I dont think theres any supporters turning up expecting a win ,so no pressure ,no expectation ,can just enjoy it, mind you in league we like that, but for some unknown reason we havent delivered as of today 18th /3 /2026 ...hopefully better days nights ahead
