Port Vale v Bradford City - Match Thread

Featured Replies

I’ve just never seen us make so many mistakes. To a man we’ve been dreadful. And then this isn’t helped by the tactics leaving us so badly overrun. Have we won a single second ball all game?

Why is it that every other team uses a result like Sundays as a springboard to obtain better results, whereas somehow we always end up ‘tired’??

Extra time v Bristol, massive effort v Blunderland, and pretty much the same team today. We need a switch at half time. Gordon as a standard left back instead of Campbell, Shipley for Walters and Hernandez on at some stage. Ben Waine feeding off scraps at present. We need to shift the balance and stick a foot in - they are out jumping and out tackling us at present, and our midfield can’t get on the ball to move us forward.

Yes, it is, you are right.

So we try hard to be positive, to lift the lads, to will them on to play better and get a result.

I doubt they’ll be reading the forum mid game. I didn’t boo at half time. Although it was probably deserved.

Not only are Bradford winning all the loose balls but most of the loose balls are falling to a Bradford player, it's like Stockport all over again.

Vale did well to keep it at 1-0, cruel goal, great save by Gaucci and their player gets it on the end of his big toe, an inch further away and the ball is gone.

These are a physical team, seem to get away with a lot, Gray getting pulled all over the shop and given nothing.

Still all to play for, Hernandez has to come on at some time to provide a bit of quality.

We look a team that has put so much into the last couple of games but fatigue has caught up with us. Just got to try and hang in and hope we can scab something.

Wondered how long some clown would blame tiredness from Sundays game as an excuse unbelievable

We look absolutely shattered to be fair.

We needed to start with fresh legs but he couldn't really drop people after beating Sunderland. We to make 3-4 changes at half time for me.

Elsewhere, Blackpool 1-0 down at HT.

Which is good, IF we can get something out of this game.

Tiredness is an excuse but you have to manage your resources effectively and Brady not done that so far tonite. We had to run ourselves into the ground against Sunderland to win that as we are <ovf censored>.

Dunno about tired from Sunday afternoon. Think they're all still pissed from Sunday night.

Surprised about Bradford. They were very average and hardly caused problems in reverse fixture and dont travel well.

Tiredness doesn’t legislate for the amount of mistakes we’ve made, especially players like Magloire, Gray, Campbell, who didn’t play a full game sunday. Ojo played Sunday but didn’t play against Bristol city. So should be a normal sat tues schedule for him. If we are gonna use the excuse of tiredness then we are <ovf censored> for the rest of the season playing 2+ games a week.
