Port Vale v Bradford City - Match Thread

Dreadful so far. Only positive is that it’s somehow only 1-0

16 shots to 3 & 8 corners to 1 is not a good look

Brady needs to get int them at half time. That wasn’t remotely close to being good enough. Can’t play worse than that

That was a shocker of a half.

Lucky to be only 1 down- hopefully we can pick up in 2nd half

Why is it that every other team uses a result like Sundays as a springboard to obtain better results, whereas somehow we always end up ‘tired’??

How many others went to extra time a week ago with a Championship side and then took on and beat a team from the PL the Sunday straight after?

Really really poor first half.

We had been battered. Barely been able to keep the ball out of our own half. Attack after attack against us.

Back 5 are at panic stations. Midfield is none existent. Nothing up top.

Can’t be any worse second half that’s for sure.

Hard to be positive watching this. Might be worse than Exeter

This is a Bradford team that lost 3-1 at Wimbledon the other week.

Bradford had 17 shots. Embarrassing. Prediction 0-4

Well it could be worse we should be 4 down at half time, let's hope he can get the players up to get something out of this game,

I think we’re just not good enough.

Sunderland and Bristol were exceptionally poor don’t forget. All sidewards and backwards. Bradford have shown how to play against us.

I actually feel sorry for Walters and Ojo. They are being completely overrun. Hall and Waine don’t work in midfield. They’re both out of position and Hall doesn’t work hard enough coming back.

It’s a miracle we are only 1 down. We need another proper midfielder on.

Being tired isn’t an excuse for me. Some of these players didn’t play much on Sunday, such as Campbell or gray. Waine I could understand, and I’d take him off now to rest him for Saturday.

We went up with these.  I just don’t understand how there is such a gulf in class between the two sides.

Frightening isn’t it. We were all over these in the home league game towards the end of last season.

Yes, it is, you are right.

So we try hard to be positive, to lift the lads, to will them on to play better and get a result.
