I’ve read that Bristol had sold the 3,100 allocation towards the end of January. So it’s now down to the home fans to turn this into a bumper home crowd. I just pray that it’s not another performance similar to the Middlesbrough game or the majority of fans left inside VP towards the end will be the rejoicing City fans.

If our football club hadn't shown their lack of interest in this fixture, it may have encouraged a few more to attend. Instead, they've shut stands again and barely mentioned it.

For me its the biggest game left of our season. Nothing else to play for. For the club its an inconvenience.

Only problem is they’re not letting vale fans buy tickets, was it smithy who tried to buy 10 tickets on Saturday and they would only let him have one even though he is a st holder.

Come on Vale, get them stands open and encourage fans to attend, stop herding fans into small spaces like animals and stop making it difficult to buy tickets, get it sorted how difficult can it be ? It's the 4th round of the FA cup for goodness sake. 🤔

Is this the shape of things to come if we make it to the Championship (Ready?). We should seriously reconsider swapping the Hamil and Bycars back. Bristol could have sold a lot more. I would like to think we would capitalise (if we can't fill the rest of the ground) and give away fans the Lorne Street Hamil, and the Hamil as we have in the past. Stoke, the Sheffield teams, WBA, and many more could easily bring 5-6,500 fans by filling those two ends. To attract Vale fans to the Bycars make the back safe standing.

It would make for more of atmosphere, it sounds dead on TV most games.

It makes the failure to complete the Lorne St Hamil section even more puzzling.  If the 100k had been spent to provide the concourse, they could have recouped most of that cost from the Arsenal game.  Here, Bristol might have filled it, and we'd be in profit.

Whilst the players gym is in there, there can be no Concourse.

The current open Lorne Street stand could have been allocated to Bristol City.We could have opened up the Railway Stand for Vale fans.

I find the apathy towards this game odd, it's a Saturday at 3pm against a team from a higher league. I know the season has been a monumental let down but it is the FA Cup which has provided many of us with our greatest memories both good and bad.

From the Watford v Port Vale 3 round tie in 1969 which was my first  game and which started me on this soul destroying journey  (thanks Dad) 🤣 right up until the present day it has been a competition where league form has meant diddly squat.

If as looks increasingly likely there are going to be more visitors then home fans I think it will be a sad indictment of where we are as club and the competition as a whole.

It's quite noticeable how little promotion of this game has been done. £15 for an attractive FA Cup 4th Round game where we have a squeak of a chance. Sold-out away end, not on TV, Saturday 3pm kick-off.....this really ought to be a 10k gate.

Huge failure on the part of the marketing department.

Marketed well, 7000 home fans, perfectly reasonable. The club are incapable of pushing ticket sales.

It’s either getting called off or we losing 6/7-0.
If Bristol have sold out I don’t think they will be far off having more fans at the game than us.
6-0 Bristol.

Look at how many fans we managed on saturday in a must win league game. So why would more people suddenly turn up, and have to pay as it’s a cup game, to watch us get pummelled by Bristol City.

I will be there as always, but I really wouldn’t blame anybody for not wanting to part with their money on Saturday.

The lack of attendance won’t be due to bad marketing, it’ll be due to what we have produced on the pitch all season long.
