Especially when we haven't scored a league goal at home since the 20th of September when we beat Mansfield.

How many games?

It is indeed mental and that was 5 home games ago so if we don't score today it will be 6 which I think will be a new club record. It also shows during that time how many games we have played away as since that Mansfield game we have played 8 away games in the league and only 5 home games.

Yeah, although we don't score away either we do look more attacking than we do at home.

Started the season 7 without a win.

Red card in first two away games.

Currently 12 without a win and rising.

5 successive nils at home.

9 nils in our last 10.

Happy new year Valeites.

I’d make a few changes here, I just want to see us have an go and our best chance of victory is with our creative players in the side. If Paton and Hall aren’t fit, I would bring in Walters for Shipley and Gauci for Amos. Then Hall and Curtis in for probably Stockley and John. 4231. If it goes to <ovf censored>, go long to Stockley for last half hour.

Gauci

Clark Hen Humphries Headley

Byers Walters

Hall Croasdale Curtis

Cole

sadly I think we lose this comfortably, these are bang in form.

I agree paton and hall should be in if fit but Walters creative? When? No goals, no assists in 34 league appearances suggests otherwise.

A show pony, looks pretty but no end product.

Shipley needs games and from what I have seen of him in the cup games he has more to offer going forwards than walters does. Byers and walters were a disastrous pairing against huddersfield.

The fact is Blackpool are in really good form versus a team that don't even have an identity, never mind a manager. Obviously, again, it's going to be difficult.

However, I feel that, unless we are going to make a number of signings in January that allow us to change formation (without round pegs in square holes), I think this squad is essentially built for 352. So, that's what it should be. Try to establish some kind of formation/style/pattern of play etc.

For me, with nothing really to lose, I'd going 352 (Mitch & Headley must be involved in forward play - not camped adjacent to our back 3) with players who are (or should be) comfortable on the ball and look to move the ball forward.

So, a bit like Monday:

                                      Gauci

                  John.          Heneghan.        Humphreys

Mitch.                   Byers.               Shipley.             Headley

                                           Hall

                                Stockley.       Cole

I could go with most of that but Im over 3/5 at the back Id go 4 at the back put hall on the right and push shipley/paton if fit up behind stockley and cole.

Shipley looked like he is suffering from a lack of game time but he showed great attacking intent which is more than Walters and byers have shown all season so Im more than happy for him to be in there somewhere.
