Part of me says your right part of me says if you let him get the players he wants next window we should do fine. Hes a proven manager so I would expect us to get another proven manager in to replace him.

I know what you mean, but he has brought in his own players and said he was happy with them.  Yes injuries have not helped, but you just don't know what team he will pick game by game.  Players must be frustrated and fans are now.

Give him another window and the squad grows and he still picks negative teams and fans are wondering about the players picked, what formation we are playing and more importantly - where the hell are the goals coming from.

Glad not the owner.

See he has make 2 changes.

Do we spend money on a new manager and presumably have less to bring in defensive reinforcements, or stick with the current manager and try and bring in defensive reinforcements?

I said some time ago after the transfer window we'd still be looking at defensive players in January and nothing is changing my mind there. We've looked light on the defensive recruitment all season, Humphreys the only decent signing there. It's a bit surprising given Moore is a centre back by trade we haven't made this more of a priority.

Given that choice I would probably spend on defenders.  I think that what is killing us has been a significant number of individual errors.  We always have a mistake or 2 in us.  I think that is more problematic than formation or style of play.

Silly page not refreshing

Even the most active imaginations can’t see him leading us to the Championship

This season's brief has never been about leading us to the Championship.

A successful 2025-26 season for Vale would be finishing anything from 20th place upwards.

....and again

Where are those coming from then?

They aren’t as it stands!! As I said I want them didn’t say we will get them.

Yates just said we have used the most players so far this season. Not a shock to be honest. One of my biggest gripes with Moore is his insistence on making wholesale changes every single game.

And yet you won't take Joe's bet?

Or any of the bookies' relegation odds?

I'll also offer you a charity bet that Vale don't go down this season.

Are you prepared to back your opinion?

Simple as that.

Do you know something we don’t? Is Moore on his way out?

I think we stick with dm and give him the money to splash some cash, we had a big transfer window but we didn't add many to the starting 11. If we want a decent defence Darren is proven at bringing in good players, like I've said already all we need is 2 or 3 starters to turn the season around.

To play where?

I'd say 2, personally, both centre backs but other than that you'd looking at getting rid of players to make room.

Of course, there are several players we can choose to get rid of :

Yes two center backs for sure. For me also a forward and attacking midfield player, better than what we have but D M would never play them.

True I guess it depends on who's available. If we can get 2 or 3 starting 11 players in i think we should get mid table. Darren Moore is proven and has the ability to bring in some decent players.

He brings them in and then drops them after they have a good game.  Then brings them in again - has a good game and is dropped for a player not having a good game.  Must be totally demoralising for the players being treated this way.

Agree entirely D M had a budget to get us promoted. He spent most of it in first season so we had to stick with a lot of this squad. So we keep the same back line, except Humphrys and no money left to strengthen anymore.

Major problem for Carol. Going to cost a lot of money in Jan to keep us up 3 top players at least needed

Not sure I would trust DM with any more funds to improve the squad, which is massive already

Darren Moore your football is crap! Your football is crap your football is crap Darren Moore your football is crap! Bye bye Moore out!
