As the commentator says.  We have had chances.  Bolton have had 2 clear cut chances and we are 2-0 down.

No doubt DM and Co will now bring on defensive players and hope.

Results are not going our way either.

Carol is it time to have a rethink and may be make a hard decision on DM & Co sooner than later.  Need to have someone in mind as a replacement so they can have time with a transfer window?

Part of me says your right part of me says if you let him get the players he wants next window we should do fine. Hes a proven manager so I would expect us to get another proven manager in to replace him.

Agreed. Don’t think any were guilt edge and the saves were decent but comfortable

The 2nd save from Hall was a brilliant save. You just have to applaud the keepers for that one.

Crap. Had 20 minutes of good pressing. Decent efforts, decent saves.
<ovf censored> since then. Defence is <ovf censored>. Said all transfer window we’ve gone into league 1 with a league 2 defence.
Cole now completely isolated.
Garrity out of position. Again.
Headley left wing for some crazy reason.
Changes need making, Hall and Paton. Still think it will be 3/0

Bottom after 15 games after this investment. Disgraceful. Never a league 1 manager.

100% agree about the defence. Can't understand why he didn't recruit another CB. Regardless of opinions on smith we never replaced him in the summer. Heneghan and Jesse are L2 standard and hall has dropped off massively this season

It’s time for a new Manager I am afraid. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Maybe bring back Andy Crosby you complete tool

He had the whole of pre season to do just that these are mostly his players that he has bought in bar a couple

I'm surprised that no Championship club signed Cozier-Duberry on loan especially when he was playing in the Championship last season for Blackburn on loan.
But he wouldn't be wanted here as he would be on loan. That's the Vale fan mentally isn't it? Heard it often enough in pre season

Started well but heads dropped after conceding, perhaps they are expecting Moore to bring on 6 strikers.

2-2-3-2-1? It would be nice to get away with 9-1-1!!!

I think 911 passed you by …

Playing well and losing is the hallmark of a poor side - keep it going long enough and the result is inevitable

Story of our season...

Stevenage

PLaying well 15 to go and we miss chance for 2  0

Take off wing backs. Are they completely knackered or is it change for the sake of it. Fresh legs etc. It doesnt always work, very rarely for us. Takes time to get into the pace of the game.

Two late goals and we lose

Played some good stuff with a decent squad but struggle to get a good balanced team. I dont believe we have that good balanced team in the squad at all.

If anyone to blame it has to be Darren Moore

Moore needs to go without a doubt his record in league 1 is terrible tactically he hasn't got a clue amazing how every single supporter new the outcome of the game before kick off yet our well paid Manager didn't we need someone else in before its too late and our season Peter's out MOORE ISNT GOOD ENOUGH

One could argue that sacking the manager every 2 years (or less) is doing the same thing over and over again.

We need a change for me because it’s copy and paste every week and nothing is changing at all. Moore seems to be out of ideas and needs a fresh face I think.

The mentality side of it is most worrying as yet again we concede then fall apart.

Its such a shame. Carol said when we got promoted they had assembled a team for league one as well. We all knew this was incorrect and the defence was poor. She has probably spent 10 million of her own cash, which is more than any of us on here can dream of, but its nothing in football terms. She is trying to live a champagne lifestyle on beer money and it will end in tears. She needs investors alongside her to take us forward. Such a shame.

I agree with the investors comment. You can’t bankroll a league club as a friendly local business person anymore or at least for long. Carol’s wealth is perhaps as big if not less than Barrie Barlow and he owns a glorified pub team.

However I don’t blame Carol for that, she runs the club and gives as much as she can.

What I do blame is local business in area. Luton for example had a whole portfolio of investors when they rose through the leagues.

Having said that, this is not some Bratt era poverty squad stuck together with loans. It is the most expensive squad in our history and I guarantee if we get rid of plonker Moore we will improve.

Do we spend money on a new manager and presumably have less to bring in defensive reinforcements, or stick with the current manager and try and bring in defensive reinforcements?

I said some time ago after the transfer window we'd still be looking at defensive players in January and nothing is changing my mind there. We've looked light on the defensive recruitment all season, Humphreys the only decent signing there. It's a bit surprising given Moore is a centre back by trade we haven't made this more of a priority.
