Yeah I'm sure Championship and PL players are chomping at the bit to go to the team bottom of League 1 😄

I’m sure we’ll all get to see how good he is on Saturday! Fingers crossed we’re up for it and him and hall’s  pace gets us all wet and trickling in the panties for 90 mins.

That would indicate Luton think he’s not ready for L1 otherwise he’ at least be on their bench especially as they have just offloaded the star winger.

If Archer he has genuine pace then a welcome addition as we rely far too much on G Hall. I would hope he has a better end product though and we can move Hall inside behind a strike where I think he would be better suited.

Who would you consider playing on the right wing if George plays behind the front two?

League 2 club signing league 2 players.

It's whether Brady thinks he's good enough not the Luton manager .. Our previous manager didn't think Curtis was good enough for our team so should Plymouth have avoided signing him

Just a thought as he's played 20 minutes in that for Luton and obviously Cheltenham in the league, would just top this season off if we realise we cant play him after announcing him!

I have just had a look and he didn't play in the Vertu Trophy for Cheltenham but obviously did for Luton in their loss to Swindon but it seems that the two club rule does not apply to this competition.

I persume he can play for 3 clubs because if a player moves from club A i.e. in this case Luton to club B Cheltenham in the Summer window and then move to club C us in the Winter window they can then play for club B and club C in official matches. So, I think because it's an overlapping season where he's moved in the Summer transfer window twice by signing for Luton and then going back to Cheltenham and then the Winter transfer window it allows a player to play for a 3rd club providing that all obligations are met and regulations are followed which explains why he can sign for us this window as he moved twice last Summer.

FIFA rules state: "𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒎𝒂𝒚 𝒃𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒂 𝒎𝒂𝒙𝒊𝒎𝒖𝒎 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒃𝒔 𝒅𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒐𝒏. 𝑫𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒅, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒚 𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒘𝒐 𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒃𝒔.

The cup game with Luton would have been in the Summer transfer period which is how the Cup rule applies. Nor has he played in league matches for Luton.

A through ball in the middle into a goal is like seeing a unicorn.

Looking forward to Saturday we need to get behind the lads and get a winning form going. I do believe we need a replacement for toraj. A defender would be a bonus.

The cup game with Luton was on the 13th of January against Swindon so I thought that would have applied to the Winter transfer period and not the Summer transfer period but given how he hasn't played in any league matches for Luton then I think he was allowed to move to us on the basis that he moved between 2 clubs in the Summer which in this case were Luton and Cheltenham which counts as an overlapping season and then moving to us in the Winter. This is what is stated by FIFA.

As others have said probably the best we could hope for with the league position. I'd imagine the only way we'll get a permanent signing is from say a national league club as at least we could offer said player league two football next season(another in Tolaj's ilk would be good) but prices tend to be over inflated in January.

Failing that abroad maybe? But who is going to want an almost certain relegation on their cv.

I'm with NW9, I'm not sure what people are expecting. Archers had a steady start to the year in the league below and plays a position we didn't have a player for. It's a decent enough if slightly underwhelming signing on paper.

We are 11 points adrift at the bottom of the league, anyone coming to vale is either going to have no other L1 option or be desperate.

Add to that the bloke in charge of recruitment is/was moonlighting for a Polish team and it's not hard to see the pool we are fishing in.

A winger! That's positive news. It's what I long to see at Vale Park, good, pacy, skillful attacking wingers creating lots of chances and goals!

@Tean Vale Luton have said on their own website that under the EFL rules he is permitted to play for a third club in the same season as he has only played once in the Vertu trophy this season as he didn't play in it for Cheltenham. Also as I said before because he signed for Luton and then went back to Cheltenham straight away it counts as an overlapping season and then because he has joined us in the Winter window it means he can play in official matches for us.
