Makes me laugh how some posters immediate response to the signing is to question whether he can actually play for us, poring over the rules like some kind of experts, as if the Club wouldn't have verified that before signing him!

I agree with you and half of them have written him off before he's even kicked a ball for us .... just because he played at Cheltenham and can't get into the Luton team,I myself shall wait to see how he gets on with us,... UTV VTID 👍 😎 

Scored 15 goals in 34 appearances last time he was at Vale, that was Raynes Park Vale though. Maybe playing for teams called Vale brings out the best in him. Same again please!

 

His cousin is Thierry Small who also had an excellent spell on loan with us.

If JB's vision is two wide players, hall and archer, with genuine pace and trickery terrorising defences and feeding cole and stockley I like it. Our pitch will definitely suit that approach at home.

 

Opposing wing backs will maybe think twice about staying forwards if they have hall and archer to worry about. That will be a good thing on its own and hopefully take some of that relentless pressure off our much maligned defenders. Also be good to have some movement ahead of our midfielders so they can play forwards more.

 

I have a good feeling about JB I just hope he can deliver.

Jordan Slew cost over a million though. It does show how League One has clubs that can splurge big fees on players they don't need and apparently don't even want. We don't have that luxury.

I think Luton had around 8 or 9 players that have played as wingers for them, which is a good sign for us. 
Archer is not a player signed by Wiltshire, he may want someone more “ready” to go and so it frees up places in their squad. 

Just because a player doesn’t get selected at one club, doesn’t mean they won’t thrive at another. Ask Plymouth fans re Curtis. 

We didn’t have a left winger, now we have one that’s pacey and hungry. 
 

Let’s get behind the lad and fill him with confidence instead of knocking it out of him before he’s even had time to settle. 
 

Vale fans can be excellent in one hand, but can also smash players prematurely when a pass becomes misplaced or a shot misses the target.

With Archer signing, today is more positive than the other day.

Mitch and Paton have been advised to look for another club.

Even if Archer isn't up to starting it means that we don't drop off a cliff when our current winger(s) tire or are subbed.

One thing that was quite refreshing when both Waine and hall started on the wings was that on the occasions we did break it wasn't just one player on their own, with no options with 4 players around them. 

Just the threat of pace in more than one position can completely change the dynamics of a game.

I think he will start more than not, maybe not on Saturday.

That’s probably a realistic hope.

I’d be outraged if Mitch has. One of the very few players, who despite the injuries looked good enough.

Just seen this shared,  no idea who it is and if true. 

Would be gutted about clark to be honest.
