I’m guessing that because of the size of you, you have not seen your cock in years

When Devante signed for us he actually stated that he wasn't on social media so it definitely isn't him posting from that account.

Quite telling in his interview for me today. Everybody starting today & on the bench 100% wants to be at this football club. That would suggest that's maybe not the case for those not in the squad.

Will go against popular opinion here, but neither Ruari or Mitch would be huge losses IMO. Rauri's best mate Ronan has moved on, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if he was looking for a move away. Mitch started the season really well, but he will never stay fit for a full season. Even when he is fit & firing, he's no better than low L1 standard.

I'm quite liking the clear out myself. Getting rid of those who aren't all in & have egos.

Yes, I think that's the view too - he was strong suggesting that the players in the squad want to be here, so those not in it (Paton, Clark, Shipley, Marosi) would by definition be surplus to requirements.

On Clark, I have a different view. I think if Brady wants to play four at the back then his best RB is Kyle John with (a fit and inform which I'm not sure he is) Gabriel as second choice. Mitch has attacking qualities but I don't think there's a position for him now wingbacks are a thing of the past.

It seems to me he's done a similar exercise on the left, opting for Gabriel as a better defensive LB than Headley (who at least can also play further up the pitch) but I wouldn't be surprised if a recognised LB (if any are available) is also on his shopping list, perhaps a loanee.

I think Brady needed to trim the squad because (long-term) we could very well still be in League Two next season and (short-term) he wanted commitment and energy from a smaller group. It will be interesting to see where we are when the window closes but like @ValeForever. I'm quite impressed with how he's done it so far.

I think the end of summer will be the real test of Brady (whichever division we are in) but he seems to have much more of an idea about squad balance, size and player attitude than DM did (though that may be damning Brady with faint praise!)

It's not on Brady to sign players. We have a head of recruitment.

Brady seemed slightly concerned that the club were potentially going to end the window without signing a striker. He was giving away that he didn't hold much faith in the recruitment department, much like the fans.

I've said before, but I feel sorry for the bloke. If we do play the second half of the season with two strikers on the books then he'll be the one who'll take the flak for the poor results. Even though it wouldn't really be his fault.

@Wrex

With respect, I think you have misinterpreted several issues.

The head of recruitment assists the manager, but does not replace the manager in choosing which players to sign.

And Jon Brady was in no sense "giving away that he didn't hold much faith in the recruitment department", that is you trying to impose your own prejudices on the situation, and also attempting to assign your own prejudices to all of the fans who don't in any way share them.

So, have you asked him this then Alan?

Or are you just disagreeing with someone else's interpretation and using your own prejudices on the situation?

As you like to remind people yourself, a point of view or feeling is not fact.

Again that's fair enough and at least he has thanked the fans and club unlike Tolaj and Curtis,so hats off there

WSU,

Lorent Tolaj was very complimentary about Vale and his time here, but the Plymouth media team (understandably) edited out that first part of their interview and published only the stuff about "excited to join Plymouth" etc.

Yep, when Lorent left this is what he posted on Instagram.

Winning promotion last season is my greatest achievement so far.

Thank you to the gaffer for believing in me and giving me the platform to express myself, the coaching staff, my special team mates and of course the AMAZING fans.

Like all great chapters this one has come to an end.

@NW9Valiant

I adopted the approach of carefully listening to what Jon Brady actually said -

- and then interpreting it entirely honestly.

As opposed to the approach of Wrex in wrongly attributing his personal prejudices to Jon Brady and to all of the Vale fans -

"He was giving away that he didn't hold much faith in the recruitment department, much like the fans."

- which isn't in any way an honest interpretation.

Now whatever is your next attempt to start a row, please refer back to this post.

So if he doesn’t see Ruari as a 9 but a 10 or wide forward, we’d need to play a 10. Basically confirming he’s not in the plans and is a backup player if anything.

If people thought Brown was bad today because he was isolated and poor passing, Stockley was worse for me. Orient would have been difficult for any striker though and Paton wouldn’t have solved that. Hopefully we find a striker with some legs to close down from the front and can carry the ball. I’d almost be tempted to put George Hall in there if we had no other choice.

Ideally we need ST, RW and CM. To get all 3, that probably puts Ruari out on loan.

Stockley won more headers at both ends of the pitch in 30 minutes than brown won in the previous 60 the main problem he had was that archer, waine and hall had gone off and Garrity wasn't anywhere near mobile enough to play off him. By the time stockley came on we were set up to sit back and defend. If stockley plays it has to be as one of two forwards and the other one has to have good mobility and a bit of pace. He is and will always be dangerous feeding off crosses and set pieces brown never threatened to do anything he didn't seem to understand his role at all. I would play hall up there ahead of brown. Stockley and garrity as an attacking duo is a non starter.

So Carols loaned the money off other people then?

Not sure why she should loan money off other people and have to pay interest when she has a very large bank account of her own.
