Always funny to me these people conveniently forget it when a player joins their club. 
 

These people are exactly the kinds of audience Fabrizio Romano trolls with his transfer cliches “only wants <x>” as if there’s some emotional connection a player has to a club more than anything else like money, career progression, job security and convenience. People too stupid to think it means something and they cream themselves over it.

It's the first time I have openly heard one of our managers actually ask Carol to back him in the window,it just usually happens,so maybe the club had actually given up any hope but it's clear to me that Brady hasn't so lets see some positive movement in the window now and give it a real go

I do however think he has a few lined up(he wont be saying that of course),I am liking how he he talks and how he goes about things tbh

No idea but i wouldn't think you would be far off with that considering what they had left on their contracts and Brady did say for Cole that the deal had to be the best for the club(that would include getting his wage off the bill as well)

The more i think about it the less bothered i am about Cole,yes he was our top scorer but if we could get a replacement in the mould of say Wareham at Exeter who imo had far more to his overall game than Cole then it could be a winner but the trick is obviously being able to drop onto that kind of player

Brady seemed slightly concerned that the club were potentially going to end the window without signing a striker. He was giving away that he didn't hold much faith in the recruitment department, much like the fans.

I've said before, but I feel sorry for the bloke. If we do play the second half of the season with two strikers on the books then he'll be the one who'll take the flak for the poor results. Even though it wouldn't really be his fault.

My guess is that come the summer no matter what League we are in he will want big changes on the recruitment side(possibly his own head of recruitment and scouting network)

For giggles if you want to look at players he's worked with before then James Wilson is on the list.

Even more horrifying would be Callum Morton of Bristol Rovers or Louis Apere of Cambridge, so hopefully none of them. 

Personally hope its not somebody he's worked with before, apart from the players he's had on loan he hasn't really had any players of note working with him.

It didn’t sound like asking Carol for help to me as much as bemoaning the time left to get things in, I don’t think the Cole sale was something he wanted at this point and was more a reference to that, and he made the similar comments about Cole to Ronan.

Ronan and Cole’s wages alone I imagine are into 5 figures combined saved so if allowed to utilise that does open doors, but again it’s if a player wants to come when we are rooted.

Maybe it's because everything's a closed book, but the lack of links to players has me a bit nervous and unsure anything will happen. 

I hope we manage to do something (today would be great), I get that he wants to probably get more players out too but he will have the summer to sort out the squad balance.

re James Wilson, is this the guy who pretty much dragged us through the playoffs and gave us a whopping Wembley wonderland day out? 

And I'll put me hat on before you all tell me what a crock he was - I wonder though how he ranks against some of the other c(r)ocks we've had these last couple of seasons

Re devante - not overly disappointed he has gone, can see how his demeanour can rub  lot up the wrong way, but I will say I never thought for once he gave anything less than 100%

How many games Wilson played in the past 4 seasons including this season?

Soz BJ was just editing as you responded -totally agree but has he been any worse than some others - and granted, he certainly hasn't even been ripping it up at the bottom of the 7th level division 😜 

What I wouldn't give at this moment to have someone of his skill even half available in the mess we are in 😁👍
