Yes, I am rather shocked by that. After all, given how far we have been off the pace, we should have been scouting all options to support Cole anyway as I felt we were always a striker down.

The visible lack of Carol as the season has unfolded has left me pondering if she doesn’t want it any more. You will always see that with a club that depends on the whims of 1 person. If the club had portfolio or consortium of owners you’d get more arguing over one or the other pulling their weight and it is harder to walk away when part of a group wedded to the same cause.

Even more horrifying would be Callum Morton of Bristol Rovers or Louis Apere of Cambridge, so hopefully none of them. 

Personally hope its not somebody he's worked with before, apart from the players he's had on loan he hasn't really had any players of note working with him. 

Well it won’t happen, but a fit James Wilson was a level above Devante Cole in my view. At his best, you could see he was a Prem Player, like at play off final. 
 

I would take  fully fit, healthy James Wilson, but his playing days are sadly over.

I'd take James Wilson from House MD over James Wilson the footballer right now. But the footballer was good, when he could play.

I've got no evidence to back this up (other than vibes & the circumstances bringing in Marvin and him leaving) before Alan or someone comes shooting me down, but I just imagine she doesn't quite get it or understand football in the same way. I just imagine she feels she gave a manager a budget and he's blown it, and so there isn't much yet for the current manager to work with until we know where we are next season. 

Looking at the kind of business Brady did at Northampton, and what he's done here so far, this has a loan deal from PL2 written all over it. I'd be surprised if its a more experienced player whose out of favour at any club in the FL72. 

The manager has a very limited pool of players to bring in. Football is like golf, lot of sneering goes on. A player telling others he is going to join the Vale at this time would be ridiculed by many of his mates and fellow players at other clubs. Just the way of the world now. Gone are the days when playing football for any league club was fantastic. Is this because of all the foreigners in our leagues now, or how things have evolved.?

It’s as simple as Brady wants to downsize the squad it’s ridiculously to big over 30 players who did DM think we are 

Unfortunately only our better players are wanted by other clubs

It is a bit tinpot of an organisation if it has a single person as a point of failure for making decisions.

We're 100% getting some player from PL2 I reckon. Probably already been speaking to Southampton.
