But that's not true. He is proven at League level (25 appearances at L1 level last season) and has gone there (Workington) because through injury he had no club and wanted to keep fit. Secondly, he will be our player if he signs so we won't be doing a "favour" to anyone. Thirdly, this has worked before. We have had success by snapping up free agents. Marvin Johnson was one just this season who earned plaudits during his brief spell.

This new guy may be good, he may be bad, he may be injury prone but I don't think where he's playing currently is any indication of his pedigree.

Marvin Johnson had played a previous season in the Champonship with over 30 games. This bloke has been battling in the 7th tier amongst part time gas fitters and bin men. He has not been playing against professional footballers.

It is Brady doing a pal a favour, not the club.

It is an utterly feeble response to us staying in the league and if Brady or anyone else thinks this sort of signing will ever see league 1 football again for us, forget it.

Sensible contract, if he stays fit and does well extend it.

Why ?

Our best attacking threat and top scorer having a medical at a L1 rival while we sign a 27yo defender from the bottom of the 7th tier.

Cracking.

Magloire is a terrible signing on paper and I’m not sure you can really expect fans not to complain here.

He is 27 and only played 88 career professional games. So he’s either crap or made of glass.

He has spent the season playing for a side who play in the same league as leek town, and are currently bottom.

People are comparing it to signing Ian Taylor or Mark Bright. They were still the right side of 25. This bloke is 27!!!

I hope I’ll be eating humble pie but for me this is up there with Danny Elliott and Deklan Wynne.

You have your opinion but im all for giving him a chance which is effectively a 5 month contract

You’ve missed his terrible injuries and his previous side a bottom by a country mile in the 7th tier. What. A. Signing.

He’s coming from a 7th tier club, as a defender, who are bottom on 18 points and 10 clear of safety.

The bloke will fit in well!!!!

IF Cole is leaving which looks pretty certain now then I really hope we spend some money on a younger replacement, even if its a young hungry striker from non league who has been scoring for their club.

I get people saying dont spend now because we are down, well not for me we aren't and while there is still that little glimmer of hope(miniscule now i know) then i want us to go out fighting and really still giving it a go and scoring some goals, which i cant see us doing with Stockley and Brown

I have no idea who the lad is and hope he absolutely smashes it and will always support a player. Especially one who wants to fight and play for the shirt unlike most of this squad.

But signing someone from the team bottom of the Northern Premier league doesn't look great

Just what we need when fighting to stay up. Dreadful signing on paper this at this stage of the season and on the same day it’s basically confirmed Cole is off

That’s what should have happened. We should have done everything to stay up, but we haven’t. We’re letting our better players go and signing lads from sides worse than leek town.

You must admit it looks terrible. Shipped out Curtis who’s doing well at Plymouth. Looks like we will be getting rid of our top scorer in Cole.

Then we bring in an old bloke from a part time club.

Bristol Rovers have made a 6 figure bid for a striker and expect to bring at least 3 players in(even in their position)
