Don’t worry. Carol is giving Brady her full backing with every last penny this club has to keep us fighting in league 1….we are taking the best the 7th Tier has to offer!

Tyler Magloire could be on move to Port Vale after impressing at Workington

It seems to me the object of bringing youth players through was to play in our 1st team,  only Dipepa delight I mean Baylee Dipepa, has  played any 1st team football in the last 5 years or so, bit of a let down really, Sold some kids on, Ndala left in 2017 not as productive as was hoped.

I think for clubs at our level with our resources and our relatively small fan base the object of bringing youth players through is to attract bids from bigger clubs so we can use the money to keep the club competitive and hopefully moving forwards.

Unbelievable if true. It seems he worked with Brady at Northampton, which carries on the long recent tradition of our managers having a contact book with the depth of whoever they knew from their last job.

Remember Magloire was so highly regarded after he left Northampton he ended up only being able to find employment in the 7th tier!

Do you have people in your contact book with people you don't know then?

Heaven forbid a player uses their own contacts to keep match fit. Should have employed a coach potato.

I can't see that announcement unless I'm missing one. I can see a Workington announcement that he's left for a "Football League opportunity" (presumably the trial he's currently undertaking) which isn't the same thing as moving to us. I suspect he will move if he continues to impress but I don't think that announcement is confirming it.

Some people far too keen to put the player down for seeking match fitness in non-league whereas the reaction would be different if framed as Championship experience with Blackburn, L1 games with Northampton.

Nevermind the fact the people passing judgement doing so without seeing the player themselves anyway. If you ever needed proof people are full of their own BS, this would be it. He might not cut the mustard but that doesn't prove people speaking out of their backside right like Nostradamus.

I can't remember the last first team regular that we sold, that had come through the youth system other than Dipepa, could it have been Gardiner, Earle or Mark Bright...........Open to suggestions !

Tbf given that Bromley's best defender has moved to Lincoln they were always going to be after a CB and I guess Jesse is his replacement. I think it's a good move to everyone.

How many other players who are not ours are we giving out favours to? This isn’t the time or the place. We need maximum focus on players in the matchday squad, not  devoting our resources to get an amateur fit.

I don’t need to see players who are playing in the 7th tier to tell you they are not the answer to us improving the current squad. We should not be wasting our time. We are in effect bringing Barry Barlow and his Tiptree squad back to the club. That’s the level here.

Regardless, this same old stuff has been done before and has never proven to have been a benefit to the club.

Good move for Jesse. For all the criticism he got, I quite enjoyed his forays up the right wing and his crosses weren't worse than Mitch Clark's....

He's an amateur because he went to non league to stay match fit? Would you prefer he was a league player sitting on his arse not bothering waiting for his next pay day? Come on now.

Curtis didn't play in that game against Newport away🤔

He did however play on the wing against Barrow in the 1st half before getting dragged off at half time after we were terrible.

And also played on the wing in the away game at Barrow where we got pummelled 4-0 and our worst performance of the season.

That won’t suit his agenda though😉

For me it's all about organization at the back and defending as a team rather than bringing new defenders in. We already have strong and/or quick defenders for Lge 1 but they can't allow runners to run off them and as JB has said, the players  need to win their duels all over the pitch.

Also Vale can't allow opposition players to have a direct run at our central defenders, it's just asking to concede goals.  Stick Byers or Oro or Walters in front of the two central defenders and instruct them to stay behind the ball at all times, a la Luke Joyce, or Grant or Griff. Could even play Humphreys in that role.

I wouldn't call humphries, hall or Heneghan quick by any stretch. Debrah is the only cb we have with any pace and he is everyone's favourite whipping boy who hasn't even been in the side while we have been getting battered.

Pace  at the back would be useful because as a team we have to push up and press higher. If we don't start scoring goals, and I mean goals not goal, we are going down. We need four wins just to catch the team 2nd from bottom and even then we need them to lose regularly but playing higher means exposing our defence to quick breakaways so we need pace at the back.

A holding midfielder would perhaps be a good idea but using byers as a holding midfielder is criminal that's what dm did and its probably why half our fans think he is crap. I'm not sure we have a decent one to play that role. Humphries could be the answer worth a try anyway. Walters isn't really one to put his body on the line and be aggressive he certainly isn't the player to face up to players running at him with the ball or turning to chase a ball over the top. Ojo is a spineless baby with no fight in him.

I'm still fed up.
