Debrah confirmed gone by the club. What a terrible decision it was by Moore to keep him.

He seems a really nice guy but unfortunately he is a terrible footballer.

Wish him luck at Bromley.

IF Cole is leaving which looks pretty certain now then I really hope we spend some money on a younger replacement, even if its a young hungry striker from non league who has been scoring for their club.

I get people saying dont spend now because we are down, well not for me we aren't and while there is still that little glimmer of hope(miniscule now i know) then i want us to go out fighting and really still giving it a go and scoring some goals, which i cant see us doing with Stockley and Brown

Know what you are saying but we need lots more than a young striker capable of 29 goals for the remaining games.

Just sell up and lets start to run this a a serious football club. Too much to ask?

Wers, I’ve just been told he’s having his medical at Luton. I’m not ITK

Im all for giving the lad a chance, and those deriding big Jesse have got their wish come true if he is off to Bromley, but even if tyler comes in with a bang, if DC is off today, it really isnt a good look for pvfc - and that's coming from a real clear blue sky shout it to the rooftops happy clapper

But if the cookie jar is empty, what else can auntie Carol do 🤷‍♂️ - one way or another, the club has to go on.

Sorry I do not agree on this. Yes lost his confidence of late and made the odd mistake but he is decent CB and better than most. Also has pace.

another poor decision to let him go when we are in this position. He gave 100%.

Pace maybe, but poor quality footballer

Looks like he will be their replacement for the lad who has gone to Lincoln

I really liked Debrah and do think that he did have some good games but it's true that he has never really done as well as I wanted him to

Waste of a three month spell of fixtures now for us Vale fans.

June will see what the club is all about for next season and i dare say that without the right moves from Carol n co, season ticket sales will be down 30% plus

Good move for Jesse. For all the criticism he got, I quite enjoyed his forays up the right wing and his crosses weren't worse than Mitch Clark's....

Agree, but on the flip side, his heading wasn’t better than Mitch Clark’s…

I wouldn't call humphries, hall or Heneghan quick by any stretch. Debrah is the only cb we have with any pace and he is everyone's favourite whipping boy who hasn't even been in the side while we have been getting battered.

k_s, Plz note what I posted, "We already have strong and/or quick defenders for Lge 1. Meaning, Heneghan and Hall are strong but not quick, Debroah and Humphries being strong and quicker.

Pace  at the back would be useful because as a team we have to push up and press higher. If we don't start scoring goals, and I mean goals not goal, we are going down. We need four wins just to catch the team 2nd from bottom and even then we need them to lose regularly but playing higher means exposing our defence to quick breakaways so we need pace at the back.

Pace at the back is indeed useful but also reading the game, anticipation and not switching off are required, as well as other attributes.  One of the reasons I rate Mitch Clark is he is brave, has pace and good anticipation and can often be seen to sweep up around the back of the central defenders on breakaways. I will be hacked off if he goes in this Window

A holding midfielder would perhaps be a good idea but using byers as a holding midfielder is criminal that's what dm did and its probably why half our fans think he is crap. I'm not sure we have a decent one to play that role. Humphries could be the answer worth a try anyway. Walters isn't really one to put his body on the line and be aggressive he certainly isn't the player to face up to players running at him with the ball or turning to chase a ball over the top. Ojo is a spineless baby with no fight in him.

IMHO It's Byers' perfect position, he can dictate the game from that position in possession, is combative and has good positional sense. I've been banging on about a proper holding midfield player since last season but obviously no one's gonna take any notice of me but look at many of the goals we've conceded this season, a fair few of them may have been prevented with such a player.

In Lge 2 Vale tended to get away without having a "Proper holding midfielder" 'cause the attackers aren't so good but the likes of Castledine,  Oates, Wareham etc and the 3 worldies we conceded to lose 1-0 to name a few, have made us pay.

I'm still fed up.

Me too, from a Vale perspective.

Let's be honest about Debrah. He had a handful of good games when he didn’t see a lot of the ball at his feet. As soon as you ask him to play, you're in trouble. Really nice guy who always gave his all but just not good enough.

He is not better than most. In my opinion that’s a laughable statement. Hall and Heneghan are both very limited, but at the very core they can defend. Debrah cannot. Even in league 2.

Signing debrah is a horrible signing for a side who are top of league 2. Though has played more games for vale than this new guy has played in his whole career.

Looking at the league table there manager seems to know what he is doing. Jesse will more than likely be playing in a division higher than us next season☹️
