Means nothing in the League cup, Borough played a team full of reserves and youngsters.

To be fair I’m sure I read Doncaster made more changes than they did!

I think Birmingham will make a number of changes given that they are playing Leicester on the Friday night.

They will be, was speaking to a Birmingham fan this evening who reckons they will play their reserves but he also said they have some really good fringe players who will almost definitely be playing

...I know people wanting us make 9/10 changes and feel we have no chance, for me I would like us go strong and give it a go.  Last year I could understand to an extent the weaker teams in cups as we had to go up, however for me feel we will be well clear of trouble but not good enough to challenge at the top.

Totally agree with this - strong as we can, at least at the moment! We let an opportunity pass us by against Middlesbrough, last season - I feel we should contest every Cup game with our strongest teams! By the time we need to start being cannier about team selection, if we're in a relegation scrap, we will probably be out of the Cups, and, hopefully, some cash banked?

Is the prize money higher this year? It wasn’t great when we reached the quarter finals.

The whole run was virtually worthless. Change the whole eleven for all I care and hopefully free up some midweeks.

From Baggers newsletter looks like Ruari might be in contention for this one so use it get him some minutes.

How many Vale sold

Its a break from league campaign

Really looking forwards too it

A few beers and a stress free night of watching football

As in the grand scheme of things result doesnt matter when playing a club whos on the rise .

However its a chance to get some confidence into players .

Team well id go very strong with Rauri starting im happy about that , i want see what he can do again as he come back really hungry too succeed .

Remember to use official car parking spots in Birmingham

As @Doha showed, for anyone driving, I wouldn’t advise street parking near the ground as you’ll get your car stripped.

You can book official parking through Birmingham for a tenner via the above link.

Probably the best option, only other thing I can think is parking by moor street and getting the train/a bus over, but that will cost more.

Barring a striker signing  I'd like to see Paton get a chance from the start if he's fit over Waine, more guile and composure over pace.

Remember its 5 away games this month so people dont have a bottle pit of money. Im only going to tick the ground off, I couldn't careless if we lost 10 nil. The league is far more important.

We seem to have a lot of attackers who can play off the striker (Richards, Curtis, Paton, Waine, Garrity) and not many 'out and out' strikers (Stockley and Faal).

I wonder if we'll see a reversion to Moore's favourite 343/3421 now that Tolaj has gone?

Something like:

John Humphreys Hall

Gabriel Ojo Croasdale Gordon

Garrity Richards

Faal

You probably wouldn't get overwhelmed in the middle as Garrity covers enough ground to both plugs gaps in the middle and join attacks.

Don't know. 343 worked pretty well until it didn't last season and then we had to reshuffle to ensure we got the best of Tolaj.

Never like to see Vale lose any game , even a pre-season friendly, but the league is more important .
