What a fabulous performance by the lads tonight, especially after the last two home games, just the tonic we needed. And well done Dazza for picking them up and masterminding a famous win. Birmingham can have no complaints, they were outplayed, outfought and outscored. Little Port Vale, eh?

Just hoping the euphoria of tonight’s win doesn’t detract from the fact we still need a goalscorer to replace Tolaj. I’d like to see Faal and Paton given a run together but we’re still short of goals up top. An injection of goals in the side is just what we need if we want points to match our performances.

Great night though, let’s enjoy it while we can and look forward to the rest of the week 🙂👍

People put Stoke down but Birmingham is a sprawling dump. Honestly you couldn't pay me to live there.

Never understood this mentality. Knockout football for 90 minutes. It was just the tonic after a bitter week. Suddenly, everyone has a massive lift.

The performance isn't a surprise to me. We're a good side, full of good players and battle. We've always been brilliant without the ball. We were the better side, creating the better chances and carrying the greater threat throughout. The defensive set-up was excellent and didn't give them a sniff. We've played well for most of the games this season and just been a bit unfortunate that the ball hasn't bounced our way. Anyone could see that.

They were a classic quasi-Barcelona side who can't handle set-pieces and can't break down a well-oiled machine. We just outran and outfought them, which will win most games. They were chucking big name after big name on and they had little-to-no impact. Stansfield might as well not bothered.

Won't single out any individuals, just that a lot of them earned the shirt tonight and it's down to the others to win it back. Thought Moore might go back to his favoured 343 and we looked very dangerous.

Just keep it in mind - we're a good side. We might not win on Saturday. We've got to keep our heads. The rewards will come and we've just got to do what we did tonight - stick with a very decent side that have been on the wrong end of some bad luck for a few weeks.

All I care about, is PVFC.

On the quasi-Barcelona nature of them, the manager is just as arrogant. They let us win, is his conclusion.

They lost because he made 10 changes (we made 6-7), it was all because their connections and debutants weren't synergising or something, we got one off an easy set-piece goal (which only happened as they didn't defend it well) and then had something to hang onto and sit deep with. 

Zero mention of us having over double the xG, 3 shots on target to 0, and Gauci sauntering out in his flip flops to pluck a few floaty crosses and otherwise getting his deckchair out. There is genuinely zero mention of the fact we were very good. Their players played bad in isolation - we didn't make them look bad by being a bit better than them at everything bar impotent passing across the backline. He was schooled by Darren Moore but simply can't comprehend it. It simply has to be them letting us win.

You could see him panic in the second half as he desperately chucked on a series of £5m+ players who made his side even worse. Absolute disarray.

Can't stand this sort of LinkedIn manager. Play tedious, paint-dry football where they don't let the opposition have the ball, and pass them into submission before they let their players worth 100x the opposition figure out the rest on their behalf. Never an understanding that there's two teams playing. Think he's solved football as he had a budget larger than the other 23 teams combined last season.

I have to say, not a comfortable walk from the ground either, 3 of us in Vale tops walking up the road as hundreds of Brummies piling down past, not a copper in sight.

There is no ceiling to Walters in my opinion. He is going to make us a lot of money.

Well we arrived in Birmingham at about 16.30 ,so in spoons till quarter too 7 then walked to St Andrews a good 33 minute walk once in ground and saw team had a feeling that the side selected could win the game as i keep harping on we are good side who have beimg punished by our own  self inflicted errors in recent  defeats ...

The game itself Vale were so damn good ,harrying ,working ,you name it the players were superb too a man ,the fans were the matchwinners though there support absolutely magnificent .

Its not like we didnt deserve win we did deserve win 100 per cent .

Home now what a night we walked back station after game no trouble at all with the locals who were sound as  ,Birmingham im sure will bounce back but tonights a great night for PVFC 

Put that kind of all round excellence into league games well the play offs are very likely in my opinion
