How is shifting 1000 tickets in 4 minutes the club's fault?

In the days of Yore as a young lad I can remember attending the Villa FA Cup tie at Vale Park with 49,000 attendance and the 42,000 at the Liverpool match. All ticketing pre online sales, credit cards, etc. Just hard cash and queues. However did we do it !!?

You said it wasn't the clubs fault in a previous post...

I completely get that you’re frustrated at missing out (missing out so far - more seats will be released periodically between now and Saturday) but you were being a bit irrational as a result of that frustration.

Ticketmaster thought you were a bot. Do you use a VPN?

Yes, I know. But it happens whether I use a VPN or not, and always has done ever since Ticketmaster got involved.

Every time you try to log on. (That's on my lap-top, it generally works with the Port Vale app on my phone, though not always.)

Are you running any extensions in the background? Either that or if clear cache that might stop that occurring.

Well we saw how that worked when people were camping outside the ticket office for the Exeter away game a few years back. I'm very happy those days are a thing of the past.

Thanks (and to Doha) for the helpful suggestions, but believe me, I've spent days trying all these things!!

Extra 1000 so there be loads of segregation I'd have though it be 2000 .

Oh well better than none

UTV so folks who love the bycars can go back in there hopefully keep it for next season aswell .

I was expecting 2,000

Well, I tried for 15 minutes, from 5.00.  At first I was asked to choose a ticket, but then nothing happened when I did.  After a few minutes it started saying no ticket availability.

Very frustrated and peed off.  If anyone knows of a ticket anywhere, please contact me.

Unfortunately, it's the way of it with high demand tickets....it's the luck of the draw as to who gets through to checkout first and if you aren't quick enough, often seats together are gone before you can checkout with them. I've been in many queues where you think you've got in to book but the seats have already gone. Oasis, Peter Kay etc....if you've done this sort of thing before, the best bet is to have 4 or 5 devices constantly refreshing and then hope that one gets through. It's the modern way Unfortunately. Feel bad for people who can't get a ticket but I knew this would be in high demand so acted quickly last week...I appreciate that some can only be definite at the last minute but they have been on sale for a considerable amount of time.

Correct .

Maximum sales Gills sales 800 at best 600 at worst (good following for how far they got to come )

Vale 1000 so thsts 1800 at best 1600 at worse

3300 seats, so 1500 at worse 1700 at best to sell if no segregation

Seats  left to sell with say netting covering say 4 in every row say there's 80 rows x 4 =320 seats covered thst leaves 1380 empty spaces in hamil if they bring 600 .

But don't lose hope there could be more on way for those unfortunate not to get one yet as folk tend to be last minute

vale fans , moaning when there is no atmosphere , moaning when it’s to busy.

Imagine owning the club , I’d think why do I bother

up the vale and I’m actually reading all the chaos in glee. Get a season ticket each year and once every 10 years you will be rewarded in this way perhaps

if not that is life . It’s no one’s fault , over 12 thousand fans have happily got tickets so can’t be that bad of a system !

Amazes me how many we have sold yet so many people still without one.

No point whinging, buy a season ticket then no problem.
