My wife doesn't get it, just a load of blokes kicking a pig bladder about but funny thing football and the emotions of it, defies all logic.

You must hold the record for the oldest wife on this board. Animal bladders were replaced by rubber in 1855 (and the internet never lies). 🙂

She's younger than me so doesn't say much for me! 😄 she's not into sport at all or get the emotions behind it! One of those "Theres always another game" or "Another season" which isn't what I want to hear if we've just been relegated like last season!

I get exactly the same. The look I give her isn't worth describing. 😂

Thousands upon thousands of women are fully invested in the game. My other half isn't one.

My Mrs feigns an interest and always wants me to text the half time score. Bit bizarre.

If we're losing her reply is along the lines of , oh they need to do better don't they, .

Then when I get home and she finds out the final score will come out with a gem like, they need to pull their socks up next game.

Utterly clueless and doesn't get it at all.

I tend to leave the room and put the kettle on.

Looking on the bright side of things, I won't need to take any laxatives tomorrow. 😂😂😂😂

Sorry folks. 🤗🤗

My lady is why you commenting on a game you have just watched .

Comes out with great funny comments like he kicked the ball wrong way ,he passed it too a fan at back of stand etc .

She doesn't get it why me and lad nearly ended up running the whole length of pitch once Debrah scored she just said that was boring today lmao and said I shout too much and I'm a bit aggressive and I said I'm passionate and want Vale win there's a difference ,aggressive is taking out on others ,passionate is feeling every kick, heading every ball encouraging positive play

Crikey when I watch the away games at home ,the house shakes with me shouting at what they should be doing with the ball ,she comes up as I have a football room ,and says keep it down Doris down the roads having her afternoon nap lmao  .

Back to the game

Do you think he will pick  Harper ?

Do you like me think all 4 subs the other day deserve a shirt for tomorrow .

Do you think the away support has the passion to get the players over the line ,think so judging by the 2 games I've attended away both wins but massive heart from the SVA on both occasions v Crewe/Harrogate.

For me it's this

Amos

Clark Debrah Smith Hall Headley

Croasdale Byers Walters

Tolaj Stockley

I think he simply has to pick Walters over Harper. I understand the thought that those 3 midfield are all deep lying but I can't see him picking Rico in a game of this magnitude.

It'll be tried and tested system that we are used to.

Headley is a huge bonus. Totally not a Hart fan, Shorrock is a kid and can get exposed away from home.

In his 6 or 7 games Headley has scored a couple and assisted a couple. He has to start.

A point keeps it in our hands, 3 and we're singing and dancing possibly.

I think he will go with Walters for Harper, Headley for Hart and thats it for the changes.

If the wing backs push up then we can probably get away with 3 deep lying players, maybe push Croasdale further up as he has found the net a few times? That said Walters is capable of driving.

Bravo to her for at least feigning an interest.

My wife hates football. And lets me know it. Constantly.

That nervous about this game! Don't know if I can watch it or not! If I do will probably be hiding behind the sofa! Come on you whites big effort be brave all at 100% please. Hats off to the traveling Valiants! Please bring us something back !

My wife doesn’t get football or any sport at all.

I did once make the mistake of trying to explain the game of pool to her while me and my mate were playing.

I told her to keep it simple, he has to pot all the reds, I have to pot all the yellows and the first one to pot the black wins.

I could see her watching my mate with a confused look, then she came out with why is he hitting the white then 🤣🤣

I knew then there’s no point at all trying to explain anything to her lol

That looks a good side for a tough away game, especially one of this much importance.  Rico on the bench, and Jack if fit, if we need to chase the game 2nd half (sincerely hope we don't have to!)
