Summer transfer rumours and speculation

Featured Replies

As the evening goes on the more I’m seeing Walsall fans disappointed to see him go. Sounds like a player Moore can work on and a decent option for Headley who will be first choice. We were left short a number of times last season at wing back so the extra numbers are great. Still need a couple of decent addictions but we’ve had a solid window so far.

I think Shorrock is a proper talent and further up the pitch on the left side is where you want him.

Maybe DM sees shorrock as his left wing option, and Curtis more as his 3rd or 4th choice striker

I said at the end of the season , I will be amazed if Shorrock is still a Vale player at the start of the season.

I’m convinced we will get really good deal for him to help us build in L1.

I was also convinced we would sign Iky and Micheal Smith. What do i know😂😂

Wasn't there some championship clubs looking at him at the Crewe game ? Then he scored an absolute rocket

I like shorrock , feel like he needs a solid run of games for a L2/ conference premier side for confidence and experience

It's a nice head ache to have for DM for the wing back starting role

i feel like vale have been linked with Michael smith for the past ten years now

I reckon Moores copying off my FM alternate games 11s approach. Grafters 11 for away games, the silky 11 for home games. Can't see us second in the Prem though

Absolutely brilliant from the Port Vale media team again

Is this the same Shorrock that's 18 yrs old, and IMO a potentially great talent. Scorer of what many people think was the goal of the season v Crewe?  I for one hope that he isn't out of the frame!

He will be when a Premier League club comes in for him

Be interesting how we've sold the deal to Gordon.

Whilst he only played 8 games was it, Headley looked excellent. Surely the undisputed first choice?

I guess it's such a high energy position that all 4 wing backs will get plenty of game time. Plus our customary injuries.

I understand your comment, but surely a luxury to have so many cover for one position?

I imagine Hart leaves permanently to league 2, Shorrock is either loaned out or sold and then Gordon is back up to Headley

walsall have always been desperate to be our derby it's Hilarious.

They should be forever known as the biggest bottlers in football

Silly little football club. They'll enjoy a day out in Chester soon enough when they get relegated again

And knowing our luck, Gordon & Headley  will be injured simultaneously! 🤪

As much as I rate him, I'm not sure he's quite at that level yet, although if you're correct, the dosh would be substantial!

Interesting article about Brandon Hanlan in The Valient.  Stevenage play 4 1 4 1 and he played quite a lot on the right of a midfield 4. Wycombe have played 4 2 3 1 since the days of Akinfenwe.  They've had Vokes, Kone, Dale Taylor and Akinfenwe playing that lone striker role in his 4 years at club. I suspect his goal record is what it is because he's been used mostly as a winger.
