Incredible to have signed another WB.

That seals John and RCB for me.

Really good player, even more satisfying to get arguably Walsalls best player last season.

I thought he was cack mate.

All about opinions.

Walsall best player by a million miles is Taylor Allen.

Left sided player is he not? So rotation for Headley

Sam Hart probably one to move on.

Fits our profile of signings in terms of age and athleticism.

Personally like it. Hart’s days clearly numbered and still think Shorrock is likely to be on his way out.

Consider John as RCB then 4 quality WB’s with pace.

Played well in the game down there. Are we going for a record number of wing backs in the squad?

He wasn’t good against us but I watched a lot of Walsall last year and he was the standout. Scored a brilliant counter attacking goal, can’t remember who against.

Thats what we want more defenders! Good player though🤔

Is he any good?

To be fair I only saw a lot of them when it was the run-in.

He looked terrible but so did the other 10.

Trust DM on it and he's an upgrade on Hart .

He's really good.

A bad day for the Vale fans who judge players based on their 2 games against Port Vale.

Very funny to do it to Walsall too.

Our wing-back options are now getting silly. Clark, Gabriel, John, Headley, Gordon.

Was hoping we’d bring in another LWB to give Headley some proper competition. Hart’s just not up to it, and as promising as Shorrock is for his age, I don’t think he’s ready for League One – plus I don’t really see him as a wing-back. I’d much rather see him pushed further forward.

Don’t know loads about Gordon to be honest, but it sounds like he had a bit of a hit-and-miss season, which pretty much mirrored Walsall’s drop-off.

Gabriel / Clark – RWB
Headley / Gordon – LWB

Can’t complain about that for depth, especially given how many injuries we had at wing-back last season.

Genuinely, please, there's 46 games in a league season and folk on here were waxing lyrical about Loft and Guthrie based on games against us. You cannot form a judgement on a player based on one game.

Liam Gordon is a really exciting, dynamic wing-back. He's a great player.

I think the above poster who suggests John is seen as an RCB primarily makes sense, leaving Clark v Gabriel on the right and Headley v Gordon on the left.

Haven't judged him on 2 games against us.

Saw him at least 8 times.

Moore knows better than us experts so that's fine.

A last reminder that Walsall fans struggle with players/managers being poached so will downplay how good they are to protect their ego. DC a prime example.

Cheers for the compo, DC is cack! will never, ever leave me. Pure cope.
