I will say this, one of my biggest frustrations in the relegation season was how shoddy a job we did at recruiting specialist wingbacks despite almost exclusively using them. At least this isn’t a problem next season so that’s a mistake we won’t be repeating.

Disappointed Pearson has gone to Donny.

Would have hoped we'd have been in for him.

We still need 3 better CB's than what we have currently.

Think some of the vale fans got too excited when they saw the Gordon Ramsay meme vale out on Their socials and were expecting Andy cook.

Yes maybe John as RCB as you say and that gives us more pace at the back,it could also spell the end for Hart and maybe even Shorrock could have some interest....

I thought wing backs were the least of our problems especially with Lomax saying he had spoken with DM and thinks he will get more game time this season as well.

Lomax played as a right centrehalf on loan. I don't think Moore sees him as a wingback. It's possible he'll go with John, Debrah and Lomax as his right centrehalves.  

Does seem mysterious with all the wingbacks.  Headley has played quite a lot as a winger. I think Gabriel has played more as a winger than a centrehalf.  From the little I know of Gordon he seems more of a winger playing wingback than a fullback playing wingback. Maybe he's considering reverting to 3 4 3.  Who knows

Wonder how often he'll be missing for internationals? I know nothing about him or Guyana's fixtures, but if he's already an established international (just from reading his number of caps and looks like he's been a regular) and now playing at league 1 level then he'll likely be called up.

No more internationals now Darren, we don't want the situation again where 2 players get called up and our game is postponed. I know there were a lot of things wrong with that season but postponing fixtures for a couple of players being off, disrupting the flow of games and having fixture congestion was also a pain the the arse. Maybe that's why de Byrne slipped the net?

Paid an undisclosed fee and bigging him up with the obligatory "beat off competition from clubs in higher divisions" - wonder if they've signed him as replacement for Taylor Allen?

I’m pretty sure they have lost a centre back that they were planning on keeping in the past week or so

Who this guy we signed never heard of him .

The only Gordon ive heard off is a stoke fan think he went play for Walsall .
