He strikes me as someone who was a very good winger with pace, who has lost the pace through injury and is now trying to adapt his game.

Curtis cutting inside from wide to get his shot off or laying it off for Headley overlapping 👌

We all have to remember it was a MADE FOR TV MOVIE ..... Not all American made for TV is Real and true to life . I'm absolutely certain that the zoom meeting was prescripted and told the world what the film makers wanted the world to hear ... again not always the truth or accurate. I'm sure there was a pinch of truth embedded some where .

Of course it was "A made for tv show and yes not any docu tv show made in any country is 100% real and true to life". Yes the Zoom meeting may have been scripted and edited but it is common sense that the budget for "Going for it" rather than consolidation in Lge 1 is likely more, likely much more but there maybe examples from the past where this is not the case.

It was the difference in the size of the numbers that surprised me, however accurate, the difference did include money needed to get Wrexham to "Championship ready and beyond status" if my memory serves me right.

The real interest is just how much money was actually spent to get Wrexham to the Championship if only as a yardstick for other clubs but it will be a while before that figure maybe available.

The figure is largely inflated though due to money required for the infrastructure away from the playing staff.

Top end L1 players are on 7-12k per week. A squad of 18 on that kind of money is costing around 10 million per year without bonuses.

Wrexham were paying more money than that to sign the likes Rodriguez and due to promotions in short space of time a very big reserve squad with lads on huge sums of money from L2 days like Marriot and Mullin.

I would imagine 50 million going for it is about right for them, my best guess for us would be around 20 million in wages.

Obscene amounts of money but we are all quite numb to it these days.

Not sure which thread to put this in but I would take Taylor Allen from the bottle boys

I was unsure which thread myself BJ.

I posted on the other one, announce Allen tomorrow, scarf aloft in front of the Lorne Street. Job done.

A quality player.

Can we add Christian Montano to the list of ex players suggested that we bring back. From another thread. How many is that now?

I've said before for all we laugh at Walsall and the banter aside(hilarious as it is😁!) they have a good academy system that's produced some Championship level(at least) players over the last 15-20 years.  Joking apart it's probably what's kept them FL competitive along with their advertising income from where the ground is positioned.

Getting back on topic Allen is probably the pick of their current crop that's come through I can see a championship club going for him though.  Might be slightly out of our league as Walsall would certainly demand a pretty hefty fee?

Can’t believe that anyone really knows much about the names being banded around in this thread. All we really know are the players we have now or who used to play for us. Proof of that is this post here. Who’s this joker?

Dunno. 😂😂

The front page article about Ethan Chislett raises a few questions.  If what he claims is correct, it would appear that the club turned down at least one offer for him in the January transfer window.

If true, why did the club reject the offer?  Having rejected it, (presumably because it was thought that he had a contribution to make) why was then seemingly excluded form DM's thinking in the last half of the season? Seems a strange one! Anyone got any more insight on this?
