Maybe it was a promotion rival, maybe didn’t expect Walters to come through so quickly, maybe couldn’t get the replacement for him we wanted so decided to keep the group together

I imagine the nominal fee it would have entailed for a player months away from contract expiration wasn't worth it.

If we'd had an injury crisis or gone back to playing with wingers then it was worth keeping him around. As so happens, 352 worked very well, Stockley and Tolaj were pretty fit, and Chislett wasn't needed. If we'd sold him for buttons and then needed him, there'd have been uproar.

With what Moore did with Chisie, would that put other players off signing for the club, word does get around.

What Moore did was not right, stopped us getting a fee, and stopped Chisie signing for another club.

I dont go with if there was an injury crisis he would have played him he would'nt, seems Moore cost us money there, and I still think Chisie gave us other options.

I completely disagree with all of this. Big D did what was best for the team and not was best for the player.

Im more than happy with how he’s handled this.

Darren didn't do what was best for the team v Barrow. Not heard of many supporters who agreed with starting 11 prior to ko & I'm sure Darren as gd as admitted this after the defeat!!!

He never played Chisie does not look good on the club, I forgot you would probably prefer Omolu to Chisie, he really got the fans on the edge of our seats.

DM did the right thing in setting an example that a player won't get their own way if the toys come out of the pram - Allowing Chizzy to leave in January if it didn't suit the club would have been foolish and encouraged others to engineer a way out at the first sign of trouble

Umolu plays a different position and was rarely used himself. The comparison doesn’t really stand.

If Chiz had anything about him he would have knuckled down and worked his way into the team but whenever he did have a chance he contributed nothing. Thats on him not the manager.

I'm not sure about this mate. Seems to me that DM (and others in the club responsible for player ins and outs) prioritised the needs of PVFC over the needs of the player, which is absolutely fine by me.

Bar a few games where he's looked effective, Chislett has basically been Louis Dodds (v2.0) - a wee bit of flair but very little substance.

If contributed nothing why not let him go?

Chislett was on okay player for Vale, sporadically. 

Tranmere away he had a 20 minute cameo ( yes not a lot of time ) to help us get a winner. He was absolutely atrocious. 

I don't think DM rated him as a manager that's his prerogative. 

I do agree Chislett was possibly under used but Rico was ahead of him on the subs bench and rightly so.

A subs bench has to be balanced you can't moan that say Heneghan or Umolu were preferred, completely different roles.

We might have needed him if Rico / Curtis got injured. That gap could have cost us points and a menial fee wouldn’t be worth that risk to derailing our promotion push. Turns out we didn’t need him, he got paid his contract and now we don’t need him and don’t need to pay him.
