Pity we’re not in for Modric (I joke but he is about to go SPL so definitely at our level now 😉) that would shut up all this nonsense chat about Chislett.  
 

Wasn’t good for DM’s team and system so we move on. 
 

Hopefully we get someone who fits our team better. No way Chislett gets in ahead of what we have now on the regular so best move for all IMO.

Hard to have any kind of excitement or attachment to players we know nothing about and those targets we may miss out on.

That’s not the case. 

A club can withdraw its offer at anytime unless the contract is signed. They do offer course have to pay the duration of the contract to the end  of June.

I think you’re right , I assume he’s on a well deserved break.

I remember he said last year he didn’t take a break after relegation knowing he had so much to do. 

With a back room team settled and only needing around 4-5 permanent players it has a different feel this pre season.

I have no doubt we have all our ducks in a row even if he is taking leave.

I understand he won't come because Byers won't give up the number 7 shirt

Deb and John will have nothing to accept with an extension clause.

It is hard to get players, JR wanted Slaven for years and when, he knew he had him, he had a massive smile.
