I really do think that things will start moving from next week where Vale are concerned including our first signing(I dont know anything just a gut feeling)

I've heard something similar, though I think his initials àre T P, though I can only come up with Toss Pot. 

Not Vale related but I know we moan about strikers but i have just seen that Sheff Utd are in talks with Rhian Brewster about a new deal,he cost 23m in 2020 and has scored 8 goals in 106 league appearances for them 😮

Seen that York have apparently turned down a £150k bid from a L2 club for Ollie Pearce (sounds like something MK would do). Obviously got an incredible record the last couple of years but now 29 so probably not something we’d be doing. Difference say with Tolaj is he is still very young and room to improve.

If only he was younger

Our model now is to sign younger players(like Peterborough do) like Tolaj and Paton(chancers in the league so to speak) in the hope that they do and make us a fair bit of money in the future,as someone pointed out to me Peterborough only have to hit 1 out of 4 or 5 that's make a big amount to make it worthwhile ... for me as it stands we have Tolaj and maybe even John and 2 of our own in Walters and Shorrock who could do it for us,

I fully expect us to gamble on signing a couple of younger players this summer in that hope again

Yeah he’s someone who you bring in if you think he will help push you over the line. Certainly no resale potential there.

On another note Stoke looking at loaning Nathan Lowe to L1. Might be a bit polarising but this could be the final twisting of the knife in Walsall if we did it…

 

There will be quite a few clubs interested in Lowe i would imagine

They dont like helping us as it is never mind to try and get us into the same league as them so i would think there is zero per cent chance of him coming here................ having said all that I would love him to come here 🙂

I think we would be nuts to extend Deb beyond another 12 months although seems to be me the way clubs are going these days to try and maintain a saleable asset.  Of course they can backfire when you have a player you nobody wants to pay for and your left with a contract.

As you say it will be to hopefully keep hold of players with saleable potential,it can be a gamble of course(longer deals) but as i said previous it only takes one or two to go for good money to make the gambles worthwhile

I would guess that Rose will stay in the Championship with him being 29
