Fleetwood v Port Vale match thread - 8th March

Featured Replies

Honestly my patience is being tested to the absolute max with this manager.

What exactly are we trying to do, because I’m buggered if I know.

Is this the way that DM thinks gets the ground full and people roaring us on?? Seriously????

For me, it was touch and go whether I could be @rsed listening on the radio. I don’t think I’ll bother Tuesday. I’ll call it now, a 1-0 defeat.

Absolutely cr@p, no other way to say it, and it is squarely down to the manager for me. Said it since Walsall, got shouted down as being a loon. First two callers on Radio Joke have it right, people can now see who the problem is.

If we get in the play-offs, we’ve got no chance. See you again next year Fleetwood, Colchester etc.

Good pen.

Arguing over who was going to take it was good. Shows at least some of them care.

Can’t agree. Shows poor discipline. You have a designated taker and 2nd, 3rd in line etc. And they are the ones who take it. Just heaps pressure on the taker. And it’s also disrespectful to your teammate who is the assigned taker, and the manager who’s chosen him.

Didn’t chesterfield play today?

Won 2-1 i went bit of a emotional day as our owner has just been diagnosed with inoperable cancer,  but keep my eye on port vale as i have decent wedge on the to win league each way

And, again, the more points dropped in these games, the more pressure to pick up points in the Crewe-Bradford-Walsall week.

We're going to playing three promotion rivals with virtually no preparation time between games, and terrorising our way to bore draws now is going to make them win-or-bust. It might pay off - I'm not writing off automatic promotion. Moore's just making it much harder than it needs to be.

Spireite must of had about 10 grand on Vale getting promoted. Posting on here and possibly watching based on his comment?

Yet his beloved Chesterfield were playing at the same time.

Peculiar.

Its 4 figures, saw the goal on my mates phone in ground

Unlucky on your loss.

I had 150 myself.

o la scrappy draw in a low quality game; why not play chislet from the start with Garrity and stocky out? and a touch game on Tuesday

For all the doom and gloom we still seem to be one of the divisions form sides over the last 10 games.  We have been wasteful, but there hasn't really been too much damage done and we are still in this.  Need to start picking up points soon as I suspect that someone will, and that team will go on to get promoted.

An worrying thing to note is whilst we've all been caught up with checking Wimbledon, Notts, and Doncaster results for the last few weeks, 8th place is very close behind.

We're 2 points clear at present, and 6 points clear of 9th who we play on Tuesday.

We need to take care of winning some football matches to ensure we finish inside the top 7 before anything else. If these draws/performances continue then all this talk of 'Walsall losing!' will look a bit daft.

Lost nothing cos i put 800 on a top 7 finish at 6-4 to cover myself

At least Crewe and Walsall are in worse form than us.

It’s the manor of it though. The performances are turgid and the games are more often than not 0-0 or 1-0 might get 2 goals in a game like today if we’re lucky.
Looking at the above we haven’t played many of the inform sides recently either.
