Nothing is guaranteed in life or football! I just hope we are well up for this one and get on the front foot with an energetic display. We should be able to beat these however we still need to be at 100% in all positions. Anyway fingers crossed for three vital points to keep the pressure up on the surrounding teams. Come on you whites

When was the last time we won at home (in the league) on a Tuesday night, was it Mansfield 3 years ago?

So you're not a fan of Moore then? 😅

He is doing OK ..... But as entertainment goes, he is as boring as a stokie celebrating 53 years since they won a cup.  I dont listen fully to his interviews anymore as I am asleep after a minute . Carol wants more folk through the turnstiles and whilst all the current Vale fans are happy with what he is achieving so far his overhaul entertainment factor is low and will NOT get New paying customers through the doors. All the Vale fans who want to attend are attending ...except for the "i'm too poor cus Ive got 20 kids brigade" . We keep putting on these daft offers of bring a friend etc and they usually result in a meagre increase if none at all . They need to start appealing to the PAYING Public who want to be entertained . 1-0 wins winning against newport by the odd goal in five is not entertainment . When have we had a few 3-0 score lines this season ?  3-0 was never unattainable in the past yet it seems like a pipe dream at the moment . I hope, and prey to God, that tonight he kicks them up the arze and gets them geed up to start from the off and actually give them a pasting . I'll settle for a 1-0 win but I have been going fo 60odd years and people like me wont be here that long . Look around you tonight and see who many of us old farts there are ...... Now imagine we all croak it in the next two years , we have to be replaced and while there are lots of kids .....They dont pay to get in We need to get some miidle income bods through the door and his boring not entertainment wont get New Money through the doors.    So I'm guessing a 1-0 win but wishing and preying for a 4-0 . Imagine a 4 nil home win under Darren - I know you think i'm on the funny fags

If you want put folk in seats you want to be purring about the play you have witnessed ,I couldn't wait for whistle go v Salford in end as I didn't enjoy second half at all

Mainly it's been OK lately however hanging on v Salford wasn't great and second half apart from goal I didn't applaud anything as we seemed to score second and have the attitude that's it ,and let a very average side generally get a foothold in a game which they never should have.

V NC first half at end of it was was thinking should I go home such was the mundaneness  of it all  second half was very good but we ain't repeated that performance since so seems we can only produce in spurts and small passages of play like second half v Newport Clark puts in the energy we want every game every player stepping there game up .

We must start the  game with energy, ,with drive ,with purpose I've took the night off unpaid as work is quiet .

Would I say I'm looking forwards to it

Yes damn right I am if performance is to a level I expect from all 11 men then the result should look after itself .

No gimmes in any kind of football you have to earn the right and other managers know that if you allow Smith or Debrah have ball they will panic and boot it long, (I think AC alluded to that in his press conference )and booting it long to Hackford or Tolaj above head height , well to me that's pointless and if in the game, I see that tonight I will be quick to shout get them off either of them if both selected , ,take the ball up field with purpose ,give and go and create a overload to the side you have took ball too.

If Hackford selected on the floor or not at all .

If Tolaj selected to his feet so he can spin and put a running midfielder or Curtis in

Only if Stockley playing I'd expect see a percentage of high ball otherwise use what's between your ears......

UTV

3 years 😭 that is quite something! We break the back of that duck tonight. 2-0 Curtis & Tolaj

I know it’s not actually the case, but to me tonight feels very <ovf censored> or bust.

No point beating Notts County etc if we are going to chuck points away to relegation fodder. If we are serious about promotion, tonight is must win.

With tonight we’ve presently got 4 of our remaining games either at home on a Tuesday night (tonight, Barrow & Bradford) or an early kick-off on a Saturday (Crewe & possibly more to follow - Walsall/Wimbledon?), in which we need to break this trend of not winning if we’re going to give ourselves any real chance of finishing in the top 3.
