Yeah it's the Gresty Road End. Only been in it once, the 0-0 when Murphy was back at Crewe on loan from Liverpool. They were building the new main stand at the time, so that was the last time we were in there. It was the ice cream stand after that.

I was supposed to go in the GRE in 97, but it was postponed after Diana died and I was on a school residential at Keele Uni when the rearranged game was played. Mills scored the winner.

That's right, I was waiting for Tony Balls coach at limekiln lights and somebody shouted out of a car to me that the Crewe match was off because of Diana. I hadn't seen the news so went home and put it on.

We were in the Brocklebank when we found out it was off.

I remember going a Crewe league Cup match v Notts Forest in 92. A group of us went from our ladsandads team. 2 rows in front of us (in his big Stone Dominoes managers jacket and his <ovf censored> curly hair) was Barry Bennell. Revered at the time, my old man pointed him out and a few other parents did too. He was with a lad we used to play against at ladsandads, who he'd poached to take to Stoke City and Dominoes. Poor lad was the one many believe was abused in America just over 12 months later.

Vile club Crewe are for knowingly sending him on to abuse other kids.

Can I expect the same on the official Vale coach next week?😉

Just managed to get two tickets. I would say about 25 left!

I hope its designated seating, and not a free for all, like Notts County or Tranmere.

Always a free for all at Crewe. Yet Walsall try their best to take you to your seat.

Why don't Crewe give Vale half of that big stand aswell

I'm.sure folk will get tickets if they really want them

Petty not giving us that other end really but it's there right

Should be a good day where we having a drink for the first one  I wouldn't recommend but m8 loves this chain so fortune favours the brave.

That's never going to happen, they won't have segregation under the stand to cope. Police would never allow it. Better option to accommodate everyone that wants to go and keep segregation would be to put Crewe in the main stand and Vale have the rest of the ground. They'd still have room to spare, and we'd get around 3,100, the same as what they get at Vale. Again, never going to happen though. They've prioritised giving their team the best chance to win, over income, which is their perogative. Only issue though is they may end up facing the wrath of South Cheshire Police with the inevitable trouble that will ensue. No doubt there will be pockets of Vale in the home ends.

Which in fairness is what they should do in terms of making home advantage try and count for something. As I say though in future these clubs want their big day out there needs to be a reciprocal arrangement in place regards allocations. And that is especially true if we meet in the playoffs as the home team doesn’t even keep all the gate receipts there.

I’m guessing in the next day or so we’ll see what we’re getting for Walsall away. Usually about 2000 from memory as they give behind the goal and a couple of blocks down the side from memory.

Seriously come on why should Crewe give up their popular singing section to any away team?  They are still in the running for promotion and just checked on the Crewe ticket site and they have nearly sold out behind both goals.

If we go up and Stoke come down let's give stoke the main stand and the paddock !!

With respect it is what it is. If we go on a run now and can get promoted at Wimbledon they will give us about 800 ! and there isn't much we can do about it.
