5 dodgy refs in 15 league games

Much more than 5, to be fair. I would say the only one who looked like he understands the game at all is Ruebyn Ricardo (v Notts County). Notable that he is normally refereeing above League 2, but the standard is dire, and I think a lot of the cynicism we see in lower league football is largely down to that.

That said, we do know the refereeing is crap, so we have to be much cleverer.

Chizzy will step up, he’s a L1 G.

They were probably the worst team we’ve played this season. Curtis needs fining 6 months’ wages. If Tolaj not back, I’d rather give Big Jesse a go up front than Umolu. The latter doesn’t look fit or motivated or both.

Umolu is lazy which is inexcusable. Showed it against Swindon, notts and now today. Doesn’t deserve any more opportunities if he’s gonna keep on like that.

Definitely go one up top next week. Sit back and use pace on the break with Hackford and Richards. Don’t want big Jerry starting. Would rather see Jason Lowe up top

Nah don't wna see 1 up top that's a recipe for disaster bring a forward in on loan or look to sign a free agent ,We need to continue with two up top that's where we've been most successful mate

I’m not so sure, giving him the benefit of the doubt I know but to me he just does not read the play or what’s happening. His reactions are too slow. Few mins to go. Him and Curtis pressing, ball breaks, Curtis twice as far away yet reacts and goes thru Umolu to press the keeper. By the time Umolu realised what was going on it was far too late. Maybe I’m being a bit generous.

Too late for that, they won’t be fit. Stick Chizzy or rico up there with hackford

Surely Toljai will be fit

Chizzy and Rico can do a job against anybody in this league. Hopefully just off Tolaj next Saturday.

No team in this league can cope with a high press. We look totally on top and in control when we have players constantly pressing defenders with the ball at their feet. That should be a given every single game as the players can decide to run or not. Salford looked vulnerable because of Curtis and Hackford working really hard.

I completely agree. I understand we can't do the high press for 90 minutes on our pitch, but today was a really good example of how to do it effectively without exhausting ourselves.

So I come out the ground at the final whistle, get home… and Curtis has a red? Wtf?

their pen was never a pen either.

I like to give the young loanees the benefit of the doubt, but I agree with all the comments on Big Jerry. He's nowhere near ready for league football. I would also prefer to see Chislett or Richards up there (although I'm keeping everything crossed for Tolaj and Hackford, should Curtis be banned and Stockley unfit).

It was a penalty. Mnoga left his leg out a bit, but stupid of Byers to slide in, and he did catch him.

Good win under circumstances but very very disappointed with Curtis.

He was fired up, played excellently and then goes and lets himself down. Noticeable muted celebrations at the end by the players.

Lovely finish by Hackford.

The Palace lad looks out of his depth still. Don’t think he’s realised yet he’s playing men’s football. Still not seen him sprint. He’s got to do a lot more than that today.
